On a ramp, we would call it "landing fakie" if you did your trick and then came back in basically riding backwards. Probably a generational thing. We never referred to any street skating tricks as fakie. You make a good point, but I'd never live in the desert, I don't like it over 75 degrees, and sand is one of God's mistakes (IMO), so I never consider that.
