I mean, say you're Frank Zombo. You're one of the worlds best athletes and physical specimens. Your profession is being strong. When you're not running around you're lifting weights. You're a pretty serious ****ing dude. Then Justin Houston takes your balls. And he does so almost by accident and while being less impressed by himself than I am when I take a 1-wipe shit. That has to be emasculating as hell. |

This D will be a handful with Poe, Houston, Jones and DJ playing at an ALL Pro level. |
Anyone still have that 425lb bench press video of Houston? I don't think any of their LB's other than him can move that type of weight.

Outstanding news.

umm ... is Houston cleared for Full Practice?
meaning full contract and scrimmage type plays or just the conditioning part of practice? |

I've probably mentioned this a few times over the years, but I was banging the table for Pioli to draft Houston in the 2nd round in 2011 when I knew he was gonna fall because of the failed drug test. Then we pick him up in the 3rd, and I was amped obviously. No more Andy Studebaker..
One of those cases where teams miss big over 'character concerns', but I suppose they don't all work out that way so I get it. |

They rep dumbells the size of Toyotas. Even big fat dudes can put up big benches. It takes a real man to go big on bells. But yeah, who can't rep 415? |
DJ got interviewed today in the locker room and mentioned Barrington stepping in for March, so there's your new starter.
As he should be. Everything I've read the past couple days suggests Barrington could be better than March, at least right now. |
I assure you the better our defense plays without him going forward, the longer he will stay off the field until he is totally a 100%. Don't get your hopes up for Nov. Look for Dec.:thumb:

They want Houston to play next week against Indy, or against Jacksonville at the latest! |

People hear what they want to hear, I guess. |

If he had a quote from Reid saying that then I'd believe that their plan was to have him playing against Jacksonville AT THE LATEST. It's a poorly written piece of speculation. |
Probably not best to have his first game back on that hard turf in Indy that he's not used to playing on.
I'd aim for him to get the start in KC against Jacksonville. |
Im still wearing my Houston jersey to the game

The Colts OL is horrendous, by the way. They've given up 23 sacks already.
Even we should be able to generate some pressure on them. |
I'm not faulting BossChief for it but he could have worded it a little better to me.
|
Houston doesn't have to start to have an impact. Getting 10 to 15 plays on 2nd/3rd and longs against Indy would ease him into full time service.

Haven't payed attention to arrow. |
God I don't want his first game back in Indy on that turf. That's just my take

It would be nice to see Houston rush the passer and be active if he's cleared. It would be a huge lift against Drew Brees. He doesn't have to start just use him on some pass rush downs and get him used to playing and see how his knee feels afterwards. But I trust Andy and this staff with injuries.

This team obviously thinks it can get to the playoffs without Houston or Charles. It's an uphill battle, but they can do it. If they can stretch out their rehab as much as possible wile easing them into it, then that's the best way to handle it because it possibly produces the best overall result, which is to have both of them fresh as possible for the playoffs.
Then let the big dogs eat, let them out to feast. Let's steamroll through the playoffs baby.....**** Tom Brady. |

Dorsey's plan was no different than what he learned in GB. Draft to replace and provide quality depth.
Fisher has been a solid replacement for Albert who can't even stay on the field. Peters is a damn good replacement for Sean Smith and the other corners haven't been that bad aside from 1 game when the whole team sucked. Ware and West are fantastic young RB's that were great insurance for Charles. Ford has 3.5 sacks in 5 games and is on pace for double-digit sacks by years end. there's quite a bit of young talent on this team. |

I figure 2 more games then anytime after that. Probably limited snaps in the Jags game. Even after he does get to play it will take a few weeks to get 100%, still needs to get into football shape and trust cutting on it full speed. He will be fine by the end of the year. |

Still going to get the jabbs in but I honestly want you guys at full speed and wish your guys the best. Eventually the good ones are going to be cast off by the kc front office and you never know when one may end up helping the Broncos win SB's anyway like Neil did. Looks like Berry is going to have a new home next year. Anyway back to wishing Houston the best, it is going to take him a couple games to get to full speed when he does come back, just the nature of recovery. |

Having the youngest team in the league every year probably isn't going to ever get you to the super bowl. All that does is keep you cap number down and maintain consistency. |

The thing most here aren't giving him credit for is he talks to the coaches, Dorsey and the trainers a few times a week. Due to the fact he almost never "rocks the boat", they trust him with information. Anyone saying that his comments regarding Houston's timetable for return are just his "speculation" and not information given to him by coaches that was OKd to pass on isnt being realistic or fair. There isn't a doubt in my mind that the trainers and coaches think Houston will be back on the field this week or next. |

Things I got called a troll for: Saying Peters was the best DB in the last couple drafts Saying Kelce is the second best TE in the game Saying KC would win a playoff game last year and lose in the AFCCG (that was said in PS and if it weren't for so many key injuries would have probably come true) Saying KC would win the division (Denver almost lost to SD in the finale, KC would have won the division. Not an outlandish claim) I literally got banned for starting a thread called "the winds of change" where I predicted the team would keep either Von or Osweiler and lose their other key free agents. Look what happened...Malik, Brock, Trevathan, Bruton... After I got banned, a bunch of posters that post here, too sent me messages saying how it was total nonsense for me to have been banned for that. That was my third banning over there. Another time I got banned, was because there are 8-10 posters there that were allowed to take multiple shots at my family members daily. A bunch of highly respected posters like OABB spoke up about how it was bullshit. I made one extremely soft "momma joke" in response to 3 back to back family smack shots at me and was banned within 5 minutes. Again, 3 PMs from guys like OABB talks by about how soft the place is and how the only reason they banned me was because TBH can't handle an opposing can stating his opinion and how there are 10-15 posters that just report every post from opposing fans till they get banned. I even got told to delete cookies for the site if I wanted a good laugh because after they banned me, tons of posters went into the thread and said it was a as that the mods banned me for such nonsense. They banned me last year RIGHT AFTER KC beat Oakland in the finale and the Broncos were struggling with SD with the reason being "we don't want you to disrupt our mojo" even though I didn't even post that day because me and the family were at the KC Oakland game. I even said things like, Von Miller will break the single season and career sack records, Harris and Talib are the best CB tandem in the league, Denver's defense is as good as Baltimores was in their hay day (last years defense), Wade Phillips is the best DC in the league, and that Denver has a bunch of players I wanted in KC...TJ Ward, Manning, Sanders, Miller (who I had in every most I did that year)...but that stupid fan base (at least the fan bases representation shown on the mane) got completely fixated on comments like "I'd take Marcus Peters over any of Denver's CBs"...and it's true. I absolutely would. Total pussy mods. Honestly, I'm glad they banned me because that place was boring as hell. A complete she'll of what it was even a few years ago during the tebow/Orton days. Sad. Because the mods enforce a circle jerk mentality that silences any outside perspective. |
I banned myself from that shit hole

Boss is right, **** the mange... bunch of losers that love to dish it out, but will be damned if they have to take any
|
I hadn't logged in at the Mange in forever, so I went over to check it out. I had four PM's sitting there - two spam messages, one lonely girl message, and one full of gay sex pics.
Hell of a nice place you got over there, Taco. |
Quote:
Go ahead and forward me those last two PMs you got and I'll take care of them. |

The gay sex pics is a repeat, though. I got inundated with those after about 10 posts and it being clear I was a Chiefs fan. That was like in '05 or '06, iirc. Dipshits gonna dipshit. Appreciate the offer, though. |
