Holding onto players past their prime for sentimental reasons is bad business. The ONLY 3 positions you invest heavily in are elite pass rushers, left takle and the obvious QB.

Dane cleared it up that it wasn't a bad deal but it is cap space that is currently allocated when we have other positions needing help.

That was all...

What injuries are you talking about?

He had only had one ACL tear when we signed him to a yet extension.

Poe and Berry are both likely able to be kept, if they want.

Unloaded question, but would you or anyone hand Berry a 12+ mil per contract in this coming offseason?

What would be your max offer for Poe?

Why?

No one knows when/if he'll be effective again, let alone, ready to play.

The best course of action, at least as of today, is to release him in March. If he's still capable of playing, sign him to a Vet Min incentive laden deal.

But at this point, no one knows when his body might allow him to play again.

I could just cry. I am happy to have Ware, he's turning out be a tough guy that can also catch but he can't touch JC. JC could get the short yardage, long home run yards and damn near play WR.

Buzz 11-01-2016 06:03 PM

He got paid, the Chiefs took care of him. I wanted to think he would be back for a year or two.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 11-01-2016 06:05 PM

Well if we win it all this year, he gets a ring.

And Reid won't go one dimensional with him as a lead back.

This team is fine if ware is healthy. Never have we asked West to carry more of the weight than before. We need to put ware on carry counts to keep him fresh for a playoff run

tmax63 11-01-2016 06:32 PM

That's my initial thought. He might be able to return from IR in time for the playoffs and give him a chance to be in the run or at least on the sidelines. Kind of a last hoorahhh thing if they don't have to use the IR return option somewhere else.

ThaVirus 11-01-2016 06:32 PM

Is there a date that they have to be active to play in the playoffs, or is that just baseball?

Even so he has to be there 8 weeks which is cutting it close

NFL on Facebook reported that he could come back for our week 17 game against the Chargers.

I'm not that worried about the Chiefs. Remember when Charles tore his ACL last year and we lost to Chicago? Season over? Yeah, no.

Ware (when he returns, hopefully Sunday), West, and the rest will be more than fine.

It's just Jamaal I feel for. Likable...no LOVABLE guy who came from nothing, severely limited with a learning disability, 2 torn ACL's, great dad/husband from what I see, awesome in the community, and incredibly talented. I mean, best RB I can remember watching in a Chiefs uniform. I'm bummed for him.

He did some amazing things behind some of the shittiest offensive lines to ever play this game.

His ability to see a hole and provide that burst of speed was unmatched by any Chiefs back to ever play. Amazing back to watch.

What RB either historical or currently playing would you compare S. Ware's style to, Hamas? A little off-topic, just wondering.

The NFL doesn't care about black players.

There is no way he's HOF worthy... he was a really good player, but no. And, for those that say "hell yeah he is HOF bound", tell me why again that Terrell Davis is not in the HOF.

Well not really JC's fault is it. I would take that up with the HOF committee and sports writers on the board. I have the same question for Otis Taylor. If he would get in the hall it would be for Ypc average and that's probably not enough without a SB or a playoff game he played in that we won.

I love JC but it's probably over for him and it's sad day for KC.

First off JC is better than Davis but neither one of them played long enough to get in the HOF. JC may not be done playing and could have a good year next season even if it's not in KC. For me JC passes the eye test of HOF skill and his total stats are better with his receiving than Davis. Charles downfall is injuries. Davis doesn't pass the eye test of the best to ever play.

PAChiefsGuy 11-02-2016 07:20 AM

Man this sucks. Feel bad for JC, he loves playing football as much as anyone. I feel like RG3 he just doesn't have the body to play anymore. Maybe he will prove me wrong, I thought he'd be alright but after this I have my doubts.

Now on to the Chiefs, this makes winning the SB a lot harder but we can still do it. Defense has to step up and become elite for us to have a chance at beating the Pats and others in the playoffs.

RunKC 11-02-2016 07:24 AM

Like it or not, being a hall of fame player requires production. When Jamaal was on the field, he was as good or better than anyone who has ever played the game. The problem is that, even when he was healthy, we couldn't really lean on him all game long due to concerns about his durability, so his career stats are actually pretty pedestrian. That's what's gonna keep him out.
