ROFL. It doesn't do shit in regards to my enjoyment of the games, season, or even life.

If it is a detriment to your enjoyment of any of those things maybe you should turn your computer off and get a life. I don't know what else to tell you.

I really don't know what the argument is about. Probably 95% of the posters on here probably feel like me and want Pat put behind glass with a sign saying "Break only in case of emergency" so that our fears are realized that he sucks and we will never see another QB drafted in the first round for the rest of our lifetime.

The first three quoted posts from October all said the o line was bottom tier, and that was in defense of Smith's play.

Specifically, right after the Pittsburgh debacle for the first two quotes and then right after the Indy game when Smith got hurt.

Curious, that.

threebag 05-09-2017 03:56 PM

Right now Mahomes has done shit compared to Todd Blackledge. Blackledge 2.0 I hope he isn't.

Mahomes may never pan out but hearing all the bullshit is cute.

I hope Mahomes plays well for the CHIEFS for many years. He is in a great situation to learn from someone who has seen more than most anyone.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Tyler Bray has to show. 3 quarterbacks on the roster that aren't absolutely embarrassing.

Clark, Dorsey and Reid have us in the penthouse now, wasn't long ago we were in the cellar.

Disingenuous

Wrong again, or just disingenuous yourself. I'll break the three down for you:

Quote:

(1) I'd say 10-6, but if the OL can get above bottom tier, and Houston returns to be effective? yeah, maybe more than 10.
This was in reference to how many wins on the season... hence, hindsight. No one could crown the pass pro OL until further in the year.

Quote:

Apparently Alex is not good enough to lift the playcalling, bottom tier OL, and frequent skill player ****ups.. out of the water.
Again, not time to fully assess the OL on the year, and never specifically distinguishes in pass pro or run blocking.

Quote:

He needs an OL that doesn't constantly live in the bottom tier.
It has been the run blocking that I have complained about all season. The run blocking as pretty shitty all year. I felt the pass pro on the whole was sufficient.. so I was disappointed that Smith didn't step his game up.

jallmon 05-09-2017 04:23 PM

Sorry, but I'm not buying this. You clearly do have an affinity for Sandy and it seems to grate you every time someone has a spat with him (although the guy has insulted/generalized our fanbase as consisting of nothing, but white trash imbeciles, seems to dislike every Chief not named Alex and constantly reminds us how we should feel/behave as fans despite the fact that he has no idea what we've endured being Chiefs fans and he chooses to ignore us every time it is thoroughly explained to him).

Speaking of "ancient history" and "Sandy." I remember when it became noticeable to me that you decided to become Sandy's "Leon: The Professional."

One day, Sandy and Clay were arguing about Alex. Then you and Clay were arguing about Alex (you approve of Alex...whatever. I mean, blech...Alex, but you love him, whatever). You responded to one of Clay's anti-Alex rants with a pro-Alex rebuttal and concluded it with something along the lines of, "stay fecal, Ponyboy. Stay fecal."

Sandy got a huge boner when he read that post of your's and responded to you with something along the lines of, "errrrr-muhrrrr-Gerrrrrd, I wish you were a hot chick with some titties!!! I would suck your titties!!!! Why can't you be a hot chick with some big tittays?!?!! I wanna suck your titties!!!! Can I suck your titties!!!! I dunno, some sort of weird "Sandy" response like that.

Point is, the guy loved that post and cyber-slobbed the hell out of your knob...and your titties after he read it. You guys may have had a thing before that, but that's when I really started noticing that you decided to assume the role of Kevin Costner to Sandy's Whitney Houston. Or should I say you assumed the role of "Whiteknightney Houston."

As hard as Sandy's penis gets when he reads your posts, you can't help, but have a soft spot for him...It's like he has you on retainer or something. Alex could go a full season throwing for only 1 TD and 49 INT's behind the league's top rated pass protection OL and Sandy could post a rant, blabbering on about how much he hates every member of the Chiefs team not named Alex (as well as the fanbase) and again, insist that we should feel a certain way about the Chiefs as fans and you would still chime in and seemingly act as the "attorney" for the Alexuals.

Not that it supposedly matters to people here, but just to be clear.. I don't hate or begrudge anyone here, or the Chiefs' fans anywhere else. I also don't think all Midwestern people are inbred, dentally, hygienically, or mentally deficient.

Many of CPers... just have much thinner skin than they claim.. and hold grudges like teen girls.

I know I'm not well liked here by most, and I don't take it personally. I never will.. and this is why I stick around. Again though.. nothing personal or serious. It's just CP fun and drama, or so was advertised... until people get so offended.

If nice and civil was what people really wanted.. then let it start. Just dump all the grudges, and let's move on from it. That would be pleasant.

He just went 12-4, had the biggest comeback in Chiefs history and swept the division.

KC would need a top 5 defense/running game to get to a SB and past Brady and Big Ben. I'm excited by Mahomes potential but appreciate what Smith has done. The Cassel hate I understood...he was f.cking terrible but Smith has been worth the two 2nds. Look at the Jets, Texans and Buffalo...thats KC without Alex these past four years. Chiefs were 1-15 before he came here... and a laughing stock.

Dorsey did what he had to do...their hasn't been a QB other than Carr that would have been available...and Smith has a 5-1 record against him.

People should have little more perspective on this....they waited until there was a prospect worth taking in round 1. Smith bought them time and helped get the Chiefs back to respectability. I dont get the "wishing he would get injured" crap...that would force Mahomes in before he is ready and possibly ruin him.

So...should have drafted Geno and never been good enough to be in the play-offs? Carr has never played in a postseason game either.

Smith will never be a HOF QB...but he was the best option and has the 3rd best record in the NFL since coming here...better than Luck, Eli, Rivers, Brees and Flacco.

I'm ready for an elite QB...but Smith gets WAY too much unwarranted hate.

Mahomes is the first QB that KC wanted that was realistically available since Smith was traded for...and they went after him. They would have done it sooner had there been someone they believed in.

There hasn't been shit for QBs in the past four years...unless you are drafting #1/#2

Smith will never be a HOF QB...but he was the best option and has the 3rd best record in the NFL since coming here...better than Luck, Eli, Rivers, Brees and Flacco.

I'm ready for an elite QB...but Smith gets WAY too much unwarranted hate.

Let me put this into language you speak fluently:

The illuminati puppet masters who write the narratives in the NFL gave us the most underwhelming QB perhaps in the history of the league in the year we had the #1 overall pick and hadn't drafted a real QB in 30 years.

This is exactly what the master narrative writers wanted us to keep doing. For those who were unfortunate enough to watch Draft Day with Kevin Coster, you know that the writers of that shitty movie had Kansas City sucking at the hind tit of an unwanted backup that they could acquire via trade, just like they've ALWAYS ****ing done. Given they FINALLY had zero excuses to not take a guy, yeah, Alex Smith was the biggest ****ing turd in the eye those master narrative writers who control Vegas could have given us. That was according to their plan. Keep Kansas City as dependably non-influential as possible and out of the limelight of star QBs. That's what they wanted, and that's exactly what they made happen.

Smith's game wasn't wanted by fans, and now that he's served his boring shitty purpose (a task he fulfilled after 2013 for the most part) it's even less wanted right now.

Ok I think I finally get it. You are a fan of the Chiefs... you just think Alex Smith is cuter than Joe Montana... With that said, I'll have to cordially disagree...

Joe Montana is SO much cuter than Alex Smith!!!!

rico 05-10-2017 12:46 AM

And to elaborate on Sandy's post... he doesn't hate or begrudge anybody here. He just thinks that we are poverty-stricken, meth-riddled, teeth-missing pieces of shit who deserve to endure long, terrible lives and suffer long, painful deaths and worst yet....never see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl because we don't deserve to experience it....because we don't approve of Alex Smith as our QB. But just to make it clear, he IS a Chiefs fan and he doesn't hate or begrudge any of us.

See that's like saying Rex Grossman lead the Bears to the Super Bowl when everyone knows it was all about the defense and special teams. What happened to Rex Grossman anyways?

He signed with the Browns and thus his football career was over

I wish Alex Smith and his stratospheric QBR/PSU ratings onto the Browns...

Year 12 is usually when QB's start throwing for more than 15 TD's a year. It's going to be a fun year!

You mean the defense that was ranked #24 in total yds given up, allowed Bell to run for 157 yds on 5.7 ypc in our last playoff gm and gave up 45 pts to the Colts in Alex's first playoff gm here? That defense?

You know you are my friend but come on. Alex Smith is way better than Grossman and our defense is overrated. Not saying our defense isn't good, it is but it is far from great.

18 points allowed to a good Steelers offense is outstanding

The year before they went into Pile High without Bell, Brown, and had a SEVERELY crippled Ben and nearly spoiled Mannings retirement party. ( would have with Bell OR Brown OR healthy Ben)

That's a different year. The same Steelers offense went into NE and scored 17-pts, 8-pts when the gm was completely out reach. Based on that NE clearly had a better D than we did.

Once again, our defense was good last year but some of you act like it was great. It wasn't. They sucked against the run all year and couldn't get teams off the field at the end of games when we needed it most both were painfully obvious in our playoff gm against the Steelers. Justin Houston was a big disappointment last season as well. But that's OK because everything is Alex Smith's fault. LOL!

Pasta Little Brioni 05-10-2017 09:34 AM

Bell got hurt that game. So they scored one less ****ing point and you suck NE off ROFL..if our offense puts up a measly 20 points on an average D....we win.

Houston's injury hurt of course basically our best player but the offense put pressure on the defense. So many games that should have been put away and put the opponent's in passing from behind mode they instead can stick to their game plan. Too many games the offense failed instead of putting a team away and put the defense in worse spots than they should have been.
The best run defense is to score so the other team has to pass.

The guys that blame your defense for losing 18-16, blame the QB for our 34-31 SB loss. They are full of ****.

If drafting a qbotf makes Alex Smith play better than he ever has in his career we should have been drafting a first rounder the last four years he has been here. We would be having Alex Johnny Unitas Smith this year.

Ask any team if they'd be satisfied holding an explosive team like Pittsburgh to under 20 points in a playoff game. They'd say, "Why, yes, I will take that. That's a defense that will put my team in a position to win the game!"

I do NOT ****ing care about Bell's YPC. Under 20 points in a playoff game when you've got the league's best WR, an insane RB, and a top 5 QB?

You are INSANE if you wouldn't take that before the game ****ing started.

You mean like a 28 point lead in Indy?

What does that have to do with anything? Just because we blew a 28 point lead in Indy, it doesn't take away the fact that only giving up 18 points to Ben, Brown, Bell and Decastro was acceptable and surely good enough to put our offense (with a non-below average game manager QB) in a decent enough position to win the game...
