and I still don't give a shit about DJ
how bout dat? |
Meh...no big deal. He’s over the hill anyway. The Chiefs aren’t worried about this. The front office knew this was a possibility when they didn’t bring him back.

If he had said it, you dumb ****s would believe it. Kinda like how Jamaal Charles was suddenly #1 Bronco lover; ask him how that's working out now. |

the dude still wants to play and settled for the worst team in the AFC West. Clearly no contenders wanted him though I wish they did. It will be a down year for him on a losing team like the Raiders. Still a great Chief

Scripting the game plan vs. Raiders:
1st down: Run Kareem Hunt up the middle. 2nd down: Run Kareem Hunt up the middle. 3rd down: Slant to Kelce across the middle. Repeat until TD. |

but you will be cupping his ballsack when he retires as a Chief |
The Chiefs are getting younger and faster while the Raiders are turning into an old hag that chainsmokes virginia slims
LMAO |
Wish the best of luck one of my favorite Chiefs players.

DJ will always be one of my favorite Chiefs.
He is just hard up, once he stops by Quik Trip and washes the skank off we can welcome him back home. |

He should. |
I have nothing against DJ, real good person and a good Chief. Wish him luck, wish he wouldn't have signed with the Raiders, but what are you gonna do? His decision, his career. At least he was classy about it when he was cut. Unlike Jamaal.
That said, I don't know if there is much gas left in the tank... |
Man that hurts! Whether he's done or not, I just hate the thought of him playing for the Raiders.
I wish him luck... when he retires. |
Gonna be hard to watch him in that uniform. He was one of my all time chiefs. This absolutely puts a little bit of tarnish on an otherwise perfect record.
Also, that hit on Mariota was the best sack and thusly worst call in chiefs history. |

But he's got every right to get a new job. I'm hoping that his lost step last year wasn't just because of the Achilles. |

I guess we should see it as a good thing that our useless scraps are now being lapped up by divisional rivals rather than the other way around. Still stings a bit - DJ's one of my all time favorites - but can't blame the guy for wanting a paycheck.

Bringing DJ in doubled the faiders' collective IQ. (Fans included.) ROFL

They are also bringing in Brian Cushing on Sunday. What the hell is Gruden doing?

They can't afford the top notch drivers like before so they just get scrubs to hold the steering wheel and finish in the top 20 if they are lucky. Nascar died basically when Dale Earnhardt died , and I wasn't even a fan of his. But he made Nascar The chase sucks like you said... But here is in my mind what changed Nascar the day they changed it from a Southern sport to a National sport, closed down Hickory, North Wilkesboro , Rockingham and traded for California and others. The same cars weren't dominate every week and the winner was the driver who had the best car setup and handling meant more than engine power. Now everything is cookie cutter, and you can't identify the brands anymore. Toyota should have never been brought in either. They need to make stock cars closer to stock cars again |

Man. The Raiders are stuck with Gruden for 10 years. What a great thing that turned out to be.

This reminds of Pioli type shit like bringing in Zack Thomas

Actually it was a good thing JC signed with the Donks because he won a game for us. I figure DJ can win us a couple more too. |
I'm happy for him. He comes back here to coach what's he gonna make, $30k? Maybe less?
I hope they did what the Raiders do and overpaid the shit out of him. |
DJ brought in to share all KC knowledge. That is all........
Dude just went from one of my top 5 favorite all time to one of least favorites along with Jamaal. Two dumb dumbs :shake: |

Would you go to your current employers rival for one last NFL payday if your other option is to stay put for minimum wage? I would. |
I don't hate the raiders like I hate the broncos so I don't mind dj signing with them. Still sucks a bit though.

I loved Bo Jackson so I don't share the hate for the Fade like I do the ****ing Donks. Don't get me wrong I still hate the ****ers but I wore the Bo Jackson Cross Trainers in High School (and I was die hard Chiefs fan before then)
|
Jesus, I hope we didn't pay him like it's 2011.
|
Raiders are reverting back to the 90's version signing over the hill players based on their name. Instead of the likes of Eric Dickerson, Javon Walker and Larry Browns of the league it's Lynch, Nelson, DJ, etc.
|
Tapping him for intel, I assume. Oh well, in a few years DJ will be our defensive coordinator!
|
This is very good for us. DJ is way past his prime.
Now they probably won't resign Bowman. At least I hope not. |
I'd prefer Hitchens, thanks.
|
Good, maybe KC can get Bowman for depth.

Tapping him for his KC defensive knowledge? wouldn't think Sutton would be that hard to decipher. I wish him the best and as long as he doesn't badmouth us, I get it. I don't like it, but don't blame him either.
|
He has the choice to play for the highest bidder...and good for him.
I also have the choice to tell him to **** off for signing w/ OAK. Would rather have him go to NE and I'd cheers him to a SB win if they won one. Now I hope he never wins one and **** him and **** Chucky and Oakland. He was clearly slower than dog shit last year. Had a couple good games but he's pretty much done as being a real threat. |
Well, that's 2 high-profile longtime Chiefs that have signed with a div rival.
I don't recall this kind of thing happening with other teams. What the hell is wrong with this team in KC? |
Quote:
Man the dude just needed to retire. He’s got no game left due to his aging. You go to the Raiders? You should have become an assistant coach or something with the Chiefs. |
Garafolo: Derrick Johnson wanted to stay in AFC West so he could face Chiefs http://fw.to/aBEdwLS
Maybe some bad blood? |

I look at it this way. He's going to be OK at the start of the season, but we don't face the Raiders until December. By then he won't have much gas in the tank if he's still upright
Just say no to 30+ year old players. |
Quote:
Hell maybe he just wants a chance to go to the Superbowl I mean he has been in the NFL forever with the Chiefs and players who go to the Chiefs already know they are never going to go or win a Superbowl |

The Raiders haven't been relevant in nearly 20 years so it is understandable you are grasping for anything to get excited over, but Derrick Johnson is beyond washed up. |

I have no hard feelings for DJ. He would have rather stayed here but that wasn't an option. You can't blame him for taking a job offer . He wants to play. His heart is in KC and we all know that. Hoping he takes out Jamaals knees this year.
And on a side note Gruden is setting himself up to fail big time. |
