kansas is going to win. By a lot.
|
KU will win but it won’t be by a lot. No more than 8-10 points, book it.

And I'll just leave this here: https://www2.kusports.com/news/2017/...-theres-been-/ A little later, Self was asked the very same thing, but that question, perhaps indicative of the fact that many believe it’s Kansas that has the final say in whether this rival will continue, came just less than a minute into his postgame press conference. “That’s what fans want to know, but we’re gonna do what’s best for us,” Self said. “We’re not interested in doing what’s best for Missouri or best for Missouri fans. But if it’s best for us to play ’em, we will. It’s not a complicated deal. “I’m not gonna say never, but I don’t think there’s been any change in our position. I’m the spokesman, I guess, on this, but, trust me, I’m not the only one that feels that way. There was a very large contingent of KU people that wasn’t happy that we were doing this initially until they realized it was for a good cause. ... Kudos to both administrations and the fans for doing something that was pretty special.” Kansas just gets pissy when they don't have the final say so and can't be in control . . . . . . . . spoiled little bitch brats, like their coach. |

And if Bill is still struggling with his rotations tomorrow and your well coached, scrappy boys who have had incredible ball movement are able to slice through a defense still finding it's footing, this could be a close one. If it's within a possession by the end of your second half, your court is going to be rocking -- and more importantly, your students are going to make sure this is a game they book on their calendar every time we come to town.

The line to get OUT of Mizzou Arena after tonight’s #Mizzou WBB game. Crazy how a coach would say Kansas will do what's best for Kansas regarding a school that left the conference*. :spock: (*and was clearly doing what's best for themselves, if the irony wasn't drippy enough) |

Really the only unforced error (and hilarious) part of it from Mizzou's end was that Drink had no reason to even comment on the bowl situation but for some reason tweeted some bravado "ANY TIME, ANY PLACE" message denying the reports only to have the reports confirmed when the bowl was announced a couple of days later. Dude just say "this matchup doesn't add anything to our program" and call it a night LMAO
|

I'm sure Drink posted that mainly because the university and HIS team and HIS players were getting roasted in the media and he wanted to show he had their backs and that it wasn't THEIR fault that the matchup wasn't gonna happen. |

They think cause they won a couple "natty's" in basketball over the last 30 years that their shit don't stink and they can talk down to everyone and dictate the terms of things (much like their coach likes to do, go figure). Nevermind the fact that they've LITERALLY been the worst Power 5 program in football over the last decade. That's not even me throwing shade, that's just a fact that is backed up by data and their record in that time. They get one little .500 season for the first time in a decade and think they can stomp and cry and get what they want and if they don't, oh boy, look out . . . . . . Bill Self spent half a decade telling Mizzou to **** off cause they left the Big 12 for the SEC (nevermind the fact it had NOTHING to do with Kansas and EVERYTHING to do with Texas and their bullshit) and now Mizzou (and the SEC) is telling Kansas to **** off and you're not gonna get your bowl game that you want that you're pissing and moaning over. Bottom line, they can't handle being told 'no'. And they're losing their ****ing minds over it. Like I said before, spoiled little bitch brats (just like their basketball coach) |

I know several KU fans who wanted Self fired the last several years but now they are kissing his ass again since he won the easiest bracket of all time last season.

I went to school at NWMSU, partly because I suck at basketball, so going to KU for basketball reasons wasn't really in the cards... and also wasn't going to spend $120k on out of state tuition (I believe at one point they extended "in state" to include KCMO counties). It worked out pretty well for sports in that NW's football won back to back NCs, so that was fun. Can't say I loved the school itself or the small town/high school feel though, or even the education. |

MU is as scared to play KU in football as KU was to play MU in basketball all those many years. Interpret that however you choose.

Yup.
After playing the likes of Georgia, Tennessee, etc. it would have been a suicide mission to match up against the mighty .500 Squawkbirds of Lawrence Kansas. They were after all on a tear to close out the season, losers of 6 of their last 7. Don’t want any part of that juggernaut. |

Soon KU will be superior to Missouri in both sports. I wonder what Missouri fans will pivot to then. |

As to your second point, ROFLMAO. You get one little .500 season (one in which you finished losing 6 of your last 7, mostly in blowouts) and you think you all have ‘turned the corner’ in football. It’s like you KU fans developed sudden amnesia and forgot that you were LITERALLY the worst Power 5 football program in America over the last decade. Kansas celebrates a .500 season in football. Mizzou sees it as a disappointment. But yeah, I’m sure a university and fanbase that doesn’t give a shit about football will surpass one that does. Keep telling yourself that, champ. You squawkbird fans are funny. BTW, Mizzou has a better record than you all in basketball right now. That’s some funny shit, huh? Extrapolating from your dumb analogy in football, I suppose Mizzou has ‘turned the corner’ in basketball and is on their way to surpassing Kansas too? Right?? See how ****ing stupid that sounds . . . . . . |
While hate is a really strong word, I have to agree that I really don't care for basketball AT ALL. I'm not sure when I became disinterested however working at a company that seemed to have KU graduates everywhere, it became easy to despise everything KU basketball. WE this, WE that, WE WE WE WE...
Also the fact that players don't really have to dribble anymore; bounce it a couple of times as you carry it around just to make it seem like you aren't turning it over and carrying it ALL THE TIME. |
Eat poop!

Quote:
Kansas fans still might celebrate that and Missouri fans still might be disappointed, but ya'll might want to set your goals a bit higher than being better than Kansas in football. OTOH, for Missouri to turn the corner in basketball and be as good/better than Kansas, you'll have to win your conference several times, make it to several Elite Eights, a few Final Fours, and win a NC. Yes, one of those does sound more ridiculous than the other. |

I said conference championships (they have a lot of those), several Elite Eights (they've been to several), a few Final Fours (they've been to a few), and a NC (they also have a few wof those). Not sure how anything I said isn't backed up by what they've accomplished. |
