I love drafting WRs.

Let's make this a yearly tradition. And never draft a Sky Moore again.

Kman34 04-26-2025 12:35 PM

He looks like a Rice clone.. Which is a good thing…

srvy 04-26-2025 12:38 PM

Not as fast but looks in his uni like Reek, shorter solid WR. That 6' must have a few inches missing on that ruler, though.

I often think these guys are full of shit, but in this case I think they're ****ing geniuses.

Kiimo 04-26-2025 12:42 PM

He's only played receiver for a year and a half????

Tons of room to lift that ceiling.

Bump 04-26-2025 12:47 PM

Love it!

SD15 04-26-2025 12:48 PM

This is great for our wide receiver room. Love this pick…..and this draft.

ThyKingdomCome15 04-26-2025 01:08 PM

So much of his game reminds me of Rashee Rice. Even his build and measurements is similar. If Rashee gets suspended we should be alright. I like this pick, PFF loved it. Veach typically strikes good in the fourth round and I think he did it again. In terms of value this was our best pick thus far.

chiefqueen 04-26-2025 01:09 PM

Mahomes should remind Royals every day that he owns him.

Seems like a slam dunk pick - great value

Hoover 04-26-2025 01:29 PM

Drafting Royals is more important to the Chief's success than drafting a RB.

I would have loved a dynamic RB in this draft, but they had other needs which they addressed nicely.

How? They have 3 good WRs already the chirfs rbs weren't good last year. I like this pick but this is a weird take

RaidersOftheCellar 04-26-2025 01:39 PM

Veach has done some work on the WR room the last couple years.

Gat dam so much to love about this video, from Newports to Palmers framed pic of him interviewing Kelce/Mahomes post game in the background

Like how Smith calls out this dude from Georgia showing out, not some Utah HS brotha dominating a bunch of Mormon dudes

Also like how he normalizes his skillset by admitting he may have played against inferior competition which also comes with inferior coaching and QB play and now he's going to Reid/Mahomes

I'm adopting this mfer

Hollywood's injury history plus one year deal.

Re-stocking WR pretty much every year is going to be a thing, and a good idea.

Been too long since we had a dangerous #89.

To make that statement you have to assume two things:

1) Rice and Hollywood will come back fully healthy and STAY fully healthy.

2) Pacheco and Mitchell won't.

Seems wholly inconsistent.

Rice is no more or less likely to come back at full speed from his knee than Pacheco is his leg. Hollywood is every bit the career brokedick that Mitchell is.

You're not applying the same standards here.

Jason Brownlee has it.

He could wear 11 or 17 too. He wore 17 before 1.

RunKC 04-26-2025 01:49 PM

Royals also helps cover for Kelce as well. He’s every bit like Rice in size, strength and speed working in the middle of the field.

Even if you assume everybody is healthy, Hollywood is on a 1-year deal, and next year is the last year of Rashee's rookie deal. And I hate to be saying this but I think Kelce is dropping off a cliff. We need to keep adding weapons and this guy seems like an insane bargain in Round 4.

But we saw Pacheco come back last year and wasn't the same player. Pacheco has a battering ram running style those don't last long in the league. Kareem Hunt looked toasted the last few months of the year and yeah you can't count on Mitchell.

Rice + Worthy is one of the best duos in the league. I dont think it's a remotely close comparison. Again I'm not against the pick but to think our RB room is fine isn't true.

He says that like JJSS is a lock to start over Royals. He isn’t, especially later in the year

If I’m relying on JJSS as one of my top 4 receivers in 2025, then guess what, I’m drafting a guy to replace him

Sources have Royals as a 2nd/3rd rounder value, why someone is saying they won't play much already is extremely premature? Also injuries are a b*tch, we saw Hollywood go down last year and I think we know now WR depth is critical, Rashee Rice too is an unknown on what will happen in terms of suspension or not

Yeah I see no reason why he can't challenge for WR3.

Chris Meck 04-26-2025 03:53 PM

He'll start the year as WR5, which is as it should be. I'm sure they'll have a package of plays for him, and work off of that.

No reason at all that he wouldn't be WR3 in '26. Draft another one every year, start 'em out on the bottom, and keep the line moving.

Kiimo 04-26-2025 03:58 PM

So apparently this guy had an ankle injury when he ran his 40 and he is faster than that. I mean, he ran a 4.4 so that seems like good news.

One of the best deep threat WR's in the NFL and Nagy has you clearing space to throw a pop pass to Worthy.

Royals caught seven passes (two for touchdowns) in 11 games with the Bulldogs. With aspirations to get noticed, Royals took up an offer from Utah State to go to a summer football camp. That turned out to be his lucky break as he ran a reported 4.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash and soon got an offer to join the Aggies before the 2022 season

Andy remains super committed to never having large wide receivers. ROFL

In fact we got rid of Watson who was actually decent at going up to get a pass. LMAO

I have very few complaints about Andy in my time here but it always feels like to me that he just never wants this kind of player around.

Worthy - 4.21 - 1.49
Brown - 4.27 - N/A
Royals - 4.39 - 1.40

I don't know about Rice's top end speed, because we really haven't had a chance to see it, but he is explosive AF initially, and the rest of these guys match that, but are also faster.

After sleeping on it, I love this pick even more.

He has true X potential in this offense. Jeremy Maclin. Sammy Watkins if he could stay healthy and was less insane.

Unrelated and hilarious side note:

The Chiefs' selection of Royals led to Bills fans melting down about what a good draft the Chiefs were having, what an insane value Royals was, and how stupid their GM is.

If he's as good as we think he is going to be, that's just another dagger with them. You hate to see it, but mostly, you love to see it.
