The Chargers have known they are playing in Brazil since February. The Packers as the visiting team received confirmation they were playing in Brazil last year in early April. So yes the Chiefs are getting less lead time when you compare to other teams. |
Quote:
And you listing out everything Clark said publicly as if he would tell the public before the NFL wanted him to is strangely naive. |

That was April 26th. |

All of these people should have just called FloridaMan so he could tell them they are going to need a heads up to plan this.

International travel prep time is just about the weakest thing to cry about possible in ****ing May.
Passports.... why the hell would anyone wait for the schedule to be released to get their passport? They schedule international games every season, get your damn passport. Hell, it's probably a checklist item when you get drafted or during the offseason for all players. Travel logistics... uh, book a hotel that probably already has rooms allocated for the event and get on your private jet? :spock: This would be something the Jets or Browns or some awful organization would **** up and then we'd laugh at them for being so damn incompetent. |
Quote:
If the Chargers received confirmation on February 19th that they were playing in Brazil this season, then the Chiefs should have as well. It’s obviously not an insurmountable challenge, but to ignore the fact there are more logistical planning requirements involved to travel/play in Brazil, than in a normal away game, is to use Fat Zach’s term, “naive”. Most teams will send an advance group of staff to the international location months before the game to plan for the logistics. When the Chiefs played in Mexico City a few years ago, they made conditioning preparations for the players starting in training camp to prepare for the high altitude (and that game was not until November of that season). |
I suppose the Chiefs are getting kinda screwed in that they have 3 fewer months than the Chargers to learn Portuguese.

We're gonna be the default Christmas team now huh?
Don't like that very much, but oh well. |
The rumor was they wanted to be a regular on the Christmas games. Chiefs just confirmed it on social media. Looks like it'll be on Amazon.

Other than Chiefs/Chargers, not exactly a compelling international slate of games.
Tua will undoubtedly be injured for that Madrid game. |
Vikes---two international games two weeks in a row
oof |
They are striking while the iron is hot on the vikings. They had a good year last year, until the bitter end. They have a newer stadium that I hear is beautiful. Vikings fans are vikings fans, they don't jump teams. I bet they will travel well.
They just can't seem to flick the booger, like the old Chiefs. |
Are these leaks supposed to be getting fans excited for the season? LMAO
|
Gotta make sure Burrow isn’t stressed so they can make playoffs lol

Only way I can see the schedule release being exciting is if you’re wanting to attend a game. If you’re already a season ticket holder or you’re from out of town or just prefer to watch the games on tv, this shouldn’t get you excited at all. If it does, then whatever, have fun I guess. But some people treat this like a giant surprise. “WTF why did the NFL give us this hard of a schedule??!!” Uhh… you knew the opponents and the home/away matchups as soon as the season ended, dingus |
