His post game comments in Denver and RAC's comments today seemed to play down expectations. I wish Pioli would have jumped in and said we'll try everything we possibly can to bring Kyle back but it sure as **** didn't sound that way at all. Like Talking Can said it all sounded very content with what they have.

RAC wouldn't play Quinn when he had him. I don't see why he would want him now.

Not to mention , with the success he's had with a crappy supporting cast in the past, Imagine what he could do with Baldwin, Breaston and McClsuster. If we could keep Bowe, that would be a plus. That O with our emerging D!!

I know this is stuff of fantasy but it's not the first time I have gone online to fantasize.

Yes, because all the drive and chip on shoulders can overcome a neck injury.

I will gladly take a year with Orton over Cassel. If we are not drafting a QB then going with Orton means two things:

He wins big for us next year. (No way that happens).
He sucks and we draft a QB in 2013.

The only problem is him wanting too much money and since the market is kind of hot for QBs now, he might have a leverage over us.

Injuries don't go away because people are mad.

Dude is 1 hit from a wheelchair. He's had 3 neck surgeries. This isn't his knee we're talking about. People who think he's coming back are in a fantasy.

Romeo is actually a fine hire. This is the worst crop of coaches I can ever remember. Bad year to be looking for one, but he made a lot of sense.

2009 was pretty sad too.
  • Mike Singletary
  • Steve Spagnuolo
  • Jim Schwartz
  • Rex Ryan
  • Todd Haley
  • Josh McDaniels
  • Raheem Morris
  • Eric Mangini
  • Tom Cable

Basically Schwartz and Ryan were the best hires, and I'm not sure how well Schwartz does if his predecessor doesn't go 0-16 and allow them to get Stafford to pair with Megatron, because that defense is atrocious and Gunther is a bad hire. Ryan I've never liked but people seem to think he's a good coach, so whatever...

Anderson won in Quinn's rookie year kind of hard to play him and started out the second the same way, then Anderson fell off the wagon and Quinn got hurt.

Giving up picks for Manning and his injury is foolish. Insanely foolish.

Theres no trading for Manning. Either he is a Colt or he is a FA. Plus, no one even knows if he'll ever play again. The fascination with Peyton is unbelievable.

What I did get out of it is that Cassel is NOT getting the outright "this is definitely the guy" support he's gotten before...

Hmm don't know. Crennel thanked Orton twice and said that if it wasn't for Orton he probably wouldn't be setting there.

I would say half of it is a fascination with Peyton and the other half is the fact that acquiring Manning would be a Chief move.

Avoid drafting and developing a QB like the plague but pick up a broken down QB.

I know that. DA is from my alma mater, so I watched a lot of Browns games in '07 and '08. RAC seemed very reluctant to play Quinn, even in '08 when it was obvious that DA was struggling. Either he is very loyal or he thinks Quinn isn't very good. Quinn hasn't done anything since to dispel that notion, either. I'd expect DA before Quinn.

I'd rather have Quinn than Cassel.

Quinn was put in a shitty situation to begin with.
