I watched it online. Crist and Heaps throw the ball like no other KU QB I have seen. Pierson is fast and the WR that was converted to RB looked good.

We had one DE stand out.

Sounds like it was an impressive start to a new era.

Not a bad turnout of 15,000 especially after the tremendous success the school has seen lately.

Some good fans them peeps out in Lawrence. Lets carry it to fall...

Looks like Tim Biere has signed a UDFA contract with the Chiefs.

I am just curious how many of the fans on this board actually attended. There are hundreds of Kansas fans on this board, surely a good percentage of them made it to the game yesterday.

Who knows. KU had 15,000. KSU had 18,000. Most KU fans have a lot of shit going on and may have been a bit burnt out by the National Championship Gme run. But I'm sure a few made it out.

I would've, but I was working the Big 12 Women's Golf Tournament. This year it's being held at Lawrence Country Club, and I wanted to support my home track. I'll be interested to see how things go today. OU was up, but Iowa State is playing very well, and seems to excel in inclement weather. OU has many more birdies (23-5) over Iowa State, but the Cyclone girls are really grinding and playing smart golf, not taking stupid chances on a challenging course.

Post season sports take a toll on a fan base. From ticket costs, travel expenses, and time missed from work it can be difficult for everyone to jump right back into something.

Your school should try it sometime though. As rough as it is on the wallet it's a hell of a lot of fun.

There was only 15,000 but if you think about it's more like 40,000 with all the vibrations from people clapping and it bouncing off all of the empty seats.

Empty basketball arenas sound even louder.

KU fan talking about basketball in a football thread? Shocking.

Won as many games last year as KU has the last 3 seasons.

KU shifted back to basketball focus after the BCS win. What can you do?

Weis is bringing it back to football. It's fun to see success in multiple sports. Your school should try it.
