Berkman gets the biggest hit of the year and you pull him. Meanwhile, he would have led off the 10th instead of Adron Chambers.

You pull Freese for Descalso, removing all power from your infield sans Albert, yet keep Theriot in at 2nd.

These moves are completely illogical.

If you're that worried about keeping Berkman out of right, put his ass at first and move Albert to 3rd. Hell, that would make more sense than what Tony did. It's not a coincidence that this team is 8-13 in extra innings this year, and it can't be put entirely at the feet of the pen.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Insane that TLR pulled Berkman like that in a tie game. But then again, he is insane.

He's done it at least ten times this year. At least. He's done the same thing with Freese because he's worried about his ankle.

Hard to believe he still basically has a guaranteed major league managing job anywhere he wants it. If I had to witness his tactics daily, I'd lose it.

Over managing cost us another game.

It's only happened 10-12 times this year. Nothing to worry about.

I've never seen a single individual so completely destroy one team in my entire life. This is the worst managing job I have EVER seen in any sport.

Nothing...nothing that Herm did even remotely approaches what LaRussa has done this year.

Baseball managers generally have little effect on the game, but he has somehow managed to be worth less than anyone in the game. He has to have a WAR of -8 this year.

Tony, you continue to kill this team.

You can't win a tie game with defense. It's never happened, and it never will.

Apparently he's got plans next month that don't involve baseball.

I don't even really care at this point. If you can't beat the worst team in the league with that much on the line, you don't deserve to go to the playoffs.

I see where you're coming from, and I'd be inclined to agree if we weren't rolling out a AAA lineup every night from the 7th inning on.

Berkman's leg is a little gimpy? Get him out of there. Meanwhile, Theriot continues to redefine suck in every phase of the game, and after meekly tapping back to the pitcher LaRussa decides to steal with who?

Not Tyler Greene, our leading base stealer who can play every infield position, but Ryan Theriot, who gets hosed down by JR Towles, who throws about as well as JR Ewing.

You're right about that and there's is no doubt that we (Stros) are the absolute WORST team in baseball, but it's ALWAYS fun to beat the Cards - especially when so much is riding on the outcome for them. Plus, it's just not right to see The Big Puma (Berkman) in a ST. Louis uniform...

Anyway - just poking fun at ya because it's all I've got. Would much rather my SHITTY STROS be in the Cardinal's position. Good luck if you guys get in - but to do it ya gotta get past us...LMAO

Braves down 3-0 to the Phillies in the third.

This is like two morons at an intersection holding up traffic because each one keeps waiving the other one to turn first. :shake:

LMAO.

If LaRussa can't manage to beat the Astros the next 2 (Pun intended) he should be shit canned at the press conference after game 3.

Start Croyle 09-27-2011 06:22 PM

Atlanta already down big in their game! Come on, just get the job done Cardinals!

Simply Red 09-27-2011 06:35 PM

i hope like hell you all win tonight, that way you all can go to the playoffs, you deserve it more than the shitty Braves. The Braves shit their pants much the same way the Chiefs do, once shit starts mattering.

Best of luck, I REALLY REALLY do hope you make it and the Braves do NOT. I'm so over lackluster teams.

Rams Fan 09-27-2011 06:48 PM

Shitting their pants.

Yup. This is ridiculous. I swear they play down to the competition most of the time.
