That was my angle, but I've never read or heard anything other than speculation.

I mean, I guess it wouldn't really shock me. just never heard his name associated with roids.

So is Bundy the guy that everyone would prefer

It pops up periodically.

He's a legendary player who doesn't have the adversarial relationship with fans and the media that others do so he tends to get more of a pass in the roids conversation.

I'm not saying that I think he did or didn't - I don't have any idea either way...

For me it is between Bundy and Starling.

Starling is actually who I would prefer because he could play everyday as opposed to 32-35 times a year for a pitcher. However, if we pick Starling, and Starling decides to go the Nebraska route, then you get no Starling and no Bundy. That would be a killer scenario. :shake:

Therefore, Bundy.

Bundy or Starling im happy.

I'd prefer Starling but ill be happy

It wouldn't be THAT bad to get a high comp pick for next year. Undesirable, but I wouldn't say it'd be killer.

As Rany tweeted, last year was the year to do that -- would've set us up real nice for this deep draft.

I think Bundy would be a smarter pick when it comes to making this a competitive, championship level team in the 2013 time frame that we seem to be targetting. Starling would be a great story, local kid and all that, but I don't think he's necessarily the right move.

Not that I'd complain either way...

Killer is probably a little strong. Comp pick, or no comp pick, to come away with nothing when possibly Bundy or Starling are sitting there would suck big time though.

Bundy might as well be a local kid. Kansas City is the closest major league city to Tulsa, OK.

Agreed.

CaliforniaChief 06-06-2011 03:56 PM

It could be that the possibility of playing in Kansas City might keep him from going to college. If Starling cares about that kind of stuff.

CaliforniaChief 06-06-2011 04:00 PM

The draft is now airing on MLB Network if anyone wants to watch it.
