My wife rarely cooks, so we don't really have days like that. She cooks if I really don't want to, but outside of baked sweets, her repertoire is slim.

Don't feel bad. I've had chicken fried steak once in the last month. Otherwise it's been oatmeal, eggs, Cottage cheese, chicken and veggies, or salad. Tonight, it's Cottage cheese! Sigh.

I'm traveling in a couple weeks to Texas. CFS will be on the menu.

I had a great one yesterday. Hand breaded, not a beef pattie. Legit. I don't indulge often these days, so I was happy it was legit. Few and far between though. Not eating awesome food daily beats cancer or something worse I suppose...

You're awesome, but I'm fat and don't want to be. Do what we have to do.

Plenty of veggies, I had a roast in there somewhere.

What cut was it? I always used tenderized rounds.

Couldn't tell you, but I'd guess it was cubed, and would be shocked if I was wrong. I was impressed. Particularly by the $9 price tag, and it wasn't a big plate. I couldn't finish it now that my tummy is trained. A month ago I could've eaten 2. Round is very good!

Yup, I get it. I just hate the norm others have!

I'm glad some of us can cook. It's not that hard, it just takes a little trying.

There's no magic to cooking, grilling, smoking, or baking - there's just trying and keeping at it.

Agreed! I sucked at 12. Kept at it and I'm the cook in my house.

Obviously I'm not picky, I appreciate good food, if someone throws something in the oven and hands me a plate and I didn't have to lift a finger, I wont complain. Life is fast paced, cooking all day for a couple of good meals just doesn't happen anymore.

If I didn't love it so much, if it weren't more healthy, if it didn't provide me a break, I guess I'd quit.

But I'll be honest, on a Saturday Box-Bakers sort of offend me. I work 65-70 hour weeks. Hell, I'm working now (!!!), so the whole concept of needing 6 uninterrupted hours in the kitchen to make a roast is bullshit.

Only certain foods take time, more only take desire.

It's all good my friend, I just don't stress over whatever comes my way.
