Love this pick, big tall WR that can reach up for the ball in the enzone so it doesn't hit the goal post and come down with it!

Jonathan Baldwin WR :thumb: Welcome to the Chiefs

I think I like the pick. I see people saying we still need a burner wide receiver. Who is going to throw it deep? I think two big physical wide receivers is a great match for Cassel's skill set. Two big tall guys with a great vertical leap is a good fit. And Baldwin isn't exactly slow.

I like the early third we get out of this deal too.

On a totally different note? How is the Lions defensive line looking these days? Holy shit.

Crazy ass draft that first round was, now wait for more tomarrow.

Stupid ass Ravens couldn't make a pick in time dumbasses.

I don't get the Leaf comparisons... It's like a strawman argument. Leaf didn't get two years of grooming like Mallett would likely get. Mallett needs to make relatively minor adjustments to his game. He was blitzed throughout his career in the SEC due to his lack of mobility and still performed well above average in the blitz situations due to his pocket presence. Plus he has the best arm and accuracy in the draft and the second fastest release. Yea, he's not a WCO QB, but in Haley's system he'd probably do well.

They were probably working on a trade that fell through. Not many people accuse the Raven's FO of ineptness.

Per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo has accepted the blame for the situation.

“It was our fault,” Angelo said. “They did everything according to the rules. . . . We had a disconnect. Whatever you hear, Baltimore did everything right.”

Angelo claimed that the Bears were trying to trade up in order to get the guy that they drafted with the 29th selection, Wisconsin tackle Gabe Carimi. Apparently, the Bears feared that the Chiefs would take Carimi with the 27th pick. The Chiefs instead took receiver Jonathan Baldwin.

No he's not. But he is a wacko QB.
