Anyone have any recommendations of somewhere that lists exactly what I need to pick up to build this out? I assembled a lower with a parts kit, but I'm not finding anything like that for the upper.

I haven't done this myself, so I can't really offer any advice, except that Youtube is your friend. I'm sure you can find several step-by-step videos that will tell you exactly what you need and show you how to do it.

I have one spent shell casing .223 rnd. I'll let it go for $50. Only been reloaded 3 times.

It isnt that tough but you really need some tools. A vice block (and vice to put it in) and an armorers wrench are musts.

Youll need:
Barrel (with gas port drilled)
flashider/comp if barrel is threaded
gas block /front sight base
gas tube
bolt
bolt carrier group
charging handle
forward assist assembly
dust cover
Handguards/tube/rails
depending on handguard etc, retaining ring
Feed ramps

Also, I forgot the barrel nut

Good buy, a new one runs 350 discounted.

My wife carries a LC9, and I am NOT a fan.

My wife has problems racking a Semi...(small weak hands that are not good with guns but excellent for my..) So she prefers a revolver :)

Question: I just bought a Taurus PT1911 and took it out shooting last night. ****ing thing was all over the target. Now, I'm not the greatest shot in the world, but I've shot the 1911 before (rented it from the range) and had great success with it. I love the gun, but I can't believe how erratic it shoots. Kentucky windage made no difference. Is this common with a new gun? I was advised to take it apart and clean the shit out of it before shooting it, which I did. Maybe I didn't do a good enough job of cleaning it?

At any rate, before I even try to adjust the sites, I figured I'd ask about it from the resident gun experts here on CP.

I would tell you to break it in, but every 1911 I have ever shot didn't need to.

Ammo can have a profound affect on accuracy. If you left a lot of oil in the barrel that can affect accuracy.

You might just have a shit barrel.
