I'll throw out a name and probably be flamed for it. How about Kim Anderson? A true son of Missouri and although not a big time resume he can coach.

Keith Kim Anderson (born May 12, 1955 in Sedalia, Missouri) the Head Coach of the University of Central Missouri Mules Basketball team.[1] He has led the team to back-to-back MIAA championships and two appearances in the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2007 and 2009. He played collegiately for the University of Missouri.

He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2nd round (28th pick overall) of the 1977 NBA Draft and by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 7th round (146th pick overall) of the 1978 NBA Draft.

He played for the Trail Blazers (1978–79) in the NBA for 21 games.[2]

He also was a court coach for Team USA during the Pan American Games Team Trials.

He's a D2 coach.

I think the 2 coaches there have a good thing going. Still, they should see if either are interested.

Not to knock Mizzou, but Stevens probably has taken himself out of their range. He would be a great get, though.

I feel for MU today. I want KU to beat the snot out of them every time they play but it sucks to get jerked around like Mizzou did. Who knows though? I have a feeling it may be addition by subtraction when it's all said and done.

Agree, they probably won't leave, but it is something MU HAS to do. (And quite frankly, make public for the alumni and fan support to let them know they are trying to bring in someone "big")

The ceiling is higher at Mizzou, and so is the floor for that matter. I think we could land one of the two.

Not sure why either would leave honestly. Yeah Mizzou has more money and facilities than Butler, but so do a lot of BCS conference schools. I think he's waiting for Indiana to open up.

Pastner is in a recruiting hotbed and doesn't have to worry about getting players eligible while at Memphis.

Mid-major coaches seem more likely, IMO.
