Just turned on the NBC coverage this morning and what do you know, more figure skating. Awesome. Just, awesome.

Call me when curling and hockey start

Damn, that little Russian girl tore it up. Outstanding

I try to watch a little bit of everything during the Olympics. The athletes in all of their sports bust their ass to be the best they can be and represent their countries to the best of their abilities.
I grew up watching the Olympics around family, and for one reason or another my folks always watched the figure skating, so I do as well. I guess I'm just waiting for someone to fall, or some one to pull off something incredible. One thing that I noticed. Johnny Weir knows more about this sport than any commentator that I've ever heard. He was commenting on the judging and the technique, what the skaters did right and where they made their mistakes. Granted, I'd rather watch women play hockey, but I respect all of the athletes. BTW, what sort of conditioning program do you think they have for curling? |
I like the ski jumping and luge. Not only for the chance for a spectacular wipe out but the sheer insanity that you have to have to do something like that. Those guys and gals have some balls.
I personally think that those two sports are probably the most dangerous in all the Olympics. |
So much figure skating
|
Waiting for a gust of wind to carry ski jumper into stands. You figure it would have happened at least once. Not looking for deaths, just a cool wipeout or two. Also would be cool to see a dude flap his arms during flight. Mix it up a little.

I'm not tuning in until some $3it blows up and Putin rolls in shirtless on a giant Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte painted in red and yellow...
|

Putin spotted at ski jump with his shotgun. "Pull!" "It's good to be the King!"

Holy ****, NBC just showed the first 35 minutes of an epic Mens Skiathlon race and decided to just skip the finish?
That's that next level of fail we've all been waiting for. I don't even... |
