If Todd Haley is making the same stupid mistakes as Herm Edwards next year as a head coach, then this can be brought up.

Yep, and another strong difference.

Todd Haley is accepting the blame, he must have said it 4 or 5 times at his PC yesterday. That will work, the first thing needed is an understanding of the problem. He is determined to correct it, and I believe him.

In Herm's entire time with the Chiefs, he was never, ever, part of any thing that was wrong. He was always, the reason why something was right.
There was NO HOPE for that situation, none.

I don't care if Haley is accepting the blame or not. Haley has done a horrible job.

Yeah. Pretty much. I'm glad Haley is accepting it, but beyond that it doesn't mean any difference in the results on the field. The players sure as shit aren't playing harder for Haley than they did for Herm, so I don't see how it matters any other than personal pride regarding the head coach.

"I was irresponsible, but I'm gonna keep bitching to hear myself talk."

The only people it didnt (and doesnt) take to see they are ineffective would be Marinelli and Mangini. If you lump Haley in with that crew youre more of an ass than I previously thought.

Herm Edwards was the worst coach I've ever seen. I'm glad all of you are ready to annoint Haley as the worst after 8 games.

You know what? I REALLY hope he does too. So far, he has been a HUGE dissapointment.

There are things that I have taken some encouragement from... but overall, the gameday coaching make Herm Edwards look like Vince Lombardi.

I have a lot of posts you can bump about how encouraged I was as the offseason unfolded..... that clearly look misguided now.

I hope that in the end, my initial impression is correct.

But, so far, he has sucked on game day. And, for the MOST part, the Chiefs don't look prepared to play. They came off a BYE week AND were coming off a horrible loss... and the Chiefs still played like a$$.

The Chiefs ran the ball well, and Haley ran it only 12 times. Charles had a great first drive, and had half his rushing attempts on that first drive.

Pathetic. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

Now, one of the most encouraging things is that Haley has only coached 8 games. He should get better. I just hope he doesn't lose the team before he gets there.

Herm is the most conservative Head Coach there is. No way he is a better head coach. Herm thought scoring points was arena league-that doesn't instill confidence. That instills a loser's mentality and that's exactly what we got. Camp cupcake made the players soft.

Yeah, Haley's 3-6 yard passing attack and third down draw plays, are the stuff of aggressive playcalling legend.

The team doesn't roll over and die, like's Herm's teams. Hell, Herm couldn't even make a decision on who his starting QB was. He had annoited THREE STARTING QBs in THREE YEARS. Green, first, then Re-SIGNED Huard and made him starter in year two, final year, annoited Croyle as starter. That's some real solid direction, huh?

Herm's teams, even last year, were largely more competetive than this year's group.

Herm's teams actually had the lead many times going into half time.

I will say that I like Haley's approach to press conferences better.... so that's something.

He's had eight games since the start of his head coaching career to clean up the shit stain left behind by Herm and Carl. I know you THINK you can make a fair comparison of the two careers at this point Mecca so I won't try to argue with you.

I just want to point out you continue to be a pimple on the ass of Chiefsplanet.

His team's record got WORSE, every year he coached in Kansas City. THREE years and every year was worse than the year before. That's not good coaching.

WHAT????? but some here say that bowe is open all the time and cassel just doesnt want to throw him the ball. hell some say we should force the ball to him and him only:rolleyes:

BTW thanks for the perspective

ROFL They had leads going into half time, only to piss them away over and over again, and that's the barometer of better coaching?
