***TIN FOIL HAT THOUGHTS UPCOMING***

Is it possible that Romeo is calling poor defensive games this AND LAST YEAR while Cassel is starting because he WANTS Cassel to fail?

If so, I'm in full support.

Think about it for a bit before you respond that I'm just throwing out some dumbass shit.

Romeo called passive defenses last year UNTIL CASSEL WENT DOWN WITH A BROKEN HAND...once he did, he started calling some damn good defensive games and the defense ended the year on a real hot run...ESPECIALLY WITH ORTON AT QB. cough cough GB game Cough cough.

Cassel returns this season and Romeo goes back to calling more passive games.

Couple that with his comments about Cassel at the scouting combine "Matt Cassel is the teams starter until we get another quarterback"
Couple that with his comments about Orton "I wouldn't have my job if it weren't for Kyle Orton"
Couple that with Tamba Halis comments after the GB game about Orton "this is the first time in years we have had a quarterback be able to give us some rest on defense because he could extend drives"
Couple that with the comments he made about Peyton Manning "we would be fools not to pursue Manning"
Couple that with his comments about RG3 "RG3 is the type of player you move up and get"

Is it possible that Romeo is actively TRYING to expose Cassel as quickly as he can by calling defenses that will yield points and expose Cassel?

I honestly think its a real possibility.

Romeo, the truest Patriot of them all, throwing wooden shoes, or "sabot" into the machine.

Hence the word, sabotage.

BossChief 09-17-2012 02:55 AM

I mean, he knows Pioli is watching. He has to be methodical and slick with the way he does it.

If I am Romeo and I want Cassel gone and know its gonna have to be REALLY BAD to get him out of there...this is EXACTLY what I would be doing to get rid of him.

EVERYONE knows Cassel isnt gonna lead a team from behind.

There is NO DOUBT that Romeos play calling was TOTALLY DIFFERENT after Cassel got hurt last year.

NONE.

Hammock Parties 09-17-2012 03:11 AM

Romeo has a secret meeting with Clark Hunt.

Pioli is fired the next day.

Romeo named interim GM.

Quinn named starter.

Chiefs win 12 of next 14 games.

Lose in first round.

Hammock Parties 09-17-2012 03:15 AM

I just realized you actually lost our bet. Cassel's QB rating was 83.5. (It had to be 84.1)

So put this in your goddamn sig:

They don't win a playoff game in 20 years, and we still watch

They refuse to draft a first round QB, and we still watch

Not this time. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them pay for what they have done!

tin foil indeed
A coach intentionally submarining an entire team? That is more likely to get himself fired than Cassel replaced. It is clear that RAC is a no talent coach taking his orders from Pioli. He is Pioli's butt boy

Dude, stop. Romeo is a soft buffon that the game has passed by and that is the reason we're continually getting our shit pushed in.

Picture of his face then "Are you tired of the same old thing? Fire Scott Pioli" etc..

Boy you people do not know advertising, try 3-5K depending on location and they want a 1-3 year commitment

I nominate this for the dumbest post in the history of the intrawebs...

Saddest part is BossChief and his CC cronies actually believe this shit...

HOLY Christ. Someone needs to save this message board...

Do you think Poe, Jackson and Baldwin will be cut by the next regime?

Say Pioli is banned from Arrowhead for life after this season and we hire a new GM.

If we change the defensive scheme Tyson Jackson will probably be cut, especially with his contract.

Baldwin seems to be Charles Rogers pt 2 (not quick enough to get open against NFL CBs) and probably wasn't really all that talented to begin with.

Who knows what becomes of Poe, who was way over drafted and is clearly a major project a new GM might want no part of.

Berry will likely stay.

We might see the first-round picks of the Pioli era quite differently in a year or two.
