JFC.

Have you followed or even watched football during the past 30 years or so?

No, idiot. No I haven't.

You have the board awareness of a newborn puppy.

LOL

Yeah. Hard to imagine someone would argue QB isn't the most important position.

So if all that's going for him, why is he having statistically his worst season in 4 years here?

This clutch drives wouldn't be needed if they'd play not to lose for 3 quarters so often.

Our team has the best chance at a SB in decades. Relax and enjoy it. If you can't enjoy this then maybe football isn't for you.

No one said that the qb hasn't played a part.

He's a member of the team.
He's what the coach and GM want, and what the coach and GM want have us at 11-4, way better than preseason prognostication, and an exciting season already to boot.

No need to insult you further, you are doing a fine job of humiliating yourself with dumbshit statements like that.

It's like arguing that the piston is the 'most important' part of an engine.

Here, here's the piston of the finest Pagani supercar on the planet.
Now, take that piston and beat this SmartCar to the end of the drag strip.

Good luck.

Well, ok then. Douche me out I guess. :D

After this season, Alex salary goes up and they can get out from under it, gaining some needed space.

For 17 million next year, they'd need more than what he's given them this year to justify that I'd think. So far, 17 total tds and 11 turnovers isn't really getting it done.

Added to that the rumors about the chiefs heavily scouting draft able qbs last year and this year and the talk about moving on from smith if the season doesn't end as they hope, seems reasonable to put 2 and 2 together.

Although if they go for a rookie qb next year who will be cheap, they could keep smith on for the year and be ok in allotted qb money like the Cowboys this season.

Although if Alex continues to play as he did sunday night, it's not gonna matter as he will be here for a while, which would be nice.

Plus then I could keep wearing my smith jersey on sundays.

O.City is still sticking with his pick on Paxton Lynch being the next big thing. Anyone that takes his QB evaluation seriously must have an IQ in the bottom 10%.

Alex Smith gets back paid for the two seasons he played on a $8 million/year contract which was WAY under the league going price.

Over the duration of his 5 year contract it averages to $14million/year.

You mouth-breathing moron.

I understand your point. It's a team game. A QB doesn't succeed on his own and a QB doesn't fail on his own.

.. But you legit just said QB is only the most important position to pussy Chiefs fans LOL

QB is THE most important position probably in any sport on the planet.

I'm perfectly sanguine with them not enjoying THEMSELVES. It's their constant evangelizing to fans here just trying to enjoy their leisure interest that is the PitA.

Oooohhhhh, if we're playing this game then we're keeping Jamaal Charles. That guy put up legitimate elite production for peanuts for years.

Alex is and has been mediocre. His strength is his ability to just stay out of the way.

He's played 2 games behind a terrible ol.

He's definitely got some warts thus far, but it's pretty early still.
