No offense DJLN, but any/all of those five are better fits [for their respective applications] than your solutions. Don't know if it's being wed to bright red and gloss chrome [bordering on platinum] or what, but there has to be a more integrated solution.
The red with 5 wide at bottom was what I initially had in mind when you said you were in the market for new wheels. I think your body/paint needs either wide spokes or muted finish.

Not offended (dissent is the point of the exercise), but admittedly a bit puzzled.
I'm 'wed' to bright red and chrome because that first picture is my car. It's not a mockup of what I'm trying to accomplish - it's the actual vehicle parked in my garage. Which is, needless to say, extremely bright red with quite a bit of chrome. I have to keep that in mind when trying to marry it all.
As for the 5 spokes - just absolutely hate 'em. They look cheap and boring and done 100 times over. I'd keep my shit rims over them and I can't stand my rims at all. A 'lot of wheel' look is what I have and what I'm trying to get away from. Don't want the wide spokes.
And really, the first grey Camaro in MIA's 4-car set has what sure look like Forgeline ZX3S's on them, which are exactly what my buddy put on his. Compare those to the first US Mags I posted and they're virtually identical with the exception of the lugs around the outside of the rim. When I sent a bunch of options to him to look at, those US Mag ramblers were what he picked because of the same reason; he thought they looked just like his. The 3rd and 4th wheels (including the 5 spokes) are polished chrome in their own right. The 2nd is gold and I'm not putting that on a red car; it would make my eyes bleed.
So I guess I'm just a bit puzzled as to the massive distinction you see here. They're actual photographs as opposed to animations so that's going to make them look better. Moreover, those cars are just
nicer than mine. Those are $100K rides, at least (well the 2nd and 4th may not be; hard to tell based on just the cosmetics). And with those forgeline rims, you're going to approach $6K on the low side. I'm just not going that route.
That said, I am moving away from the chrome a bit because I think I can incorporate the more satin/brushed look just fine into my silver SS stripes. Those stripes only really pop silver when the sun blasts them and pulls out the metallic in the paint. Otherwise they'll play very nicely with the darker rims and with the RS grill/lights bringing plenty of black to the party as well, I can get away with a little darker rims.
I think the best option is unfortunately going to be the most expensive and it's a 2 or 3 piece rim with a polished chrome lip and a black or gray matte/satin. I can't do anything like Marcellus is doing - that's just too dark and doesn't fit this car at all, IMO. But with a darker middle and polished lip, etc... That will bring all that stuff together really well (it's what the hockey stripe and first from the 4-set have done). I'll have to kick around to see what the 2-piece guys run and see if I can still do it in budget while not cutting corners on the tires.
