Fight the fight. Don't fold up like a paper sack, when someone bests your points. The Chiefs haven't drafted a QB in 30 years int he first round, are in a prime spot to this year, and there isn't one to be drafted. Yeah, some say there is some say there isn't, but the franchise pretty much just agreed with half of them. Obviously fans are pretty pissed at that and the fact that the year after we had a normal CHiefs 7 win year and the best QB prospect ever came out, we bottom out. Get over it. |

Yeah, there was a muffed punt. They were also 1-14 on 3rd downs the whole game. |

He probably had (might still have, although I think he's done mentally) more upside and performed well in the playoffs his first 2 years. He's not better than Alex Smith right now though. However, if you're taking Sanchez from 2 years ago vs. Alex Smith now in regards to giving up #34 overall for a QBOTF, I think most would take Sanchez due to age and playoff performances. The only reason I detest the Smith trade is due to the compensation and the fact that in all likelihood, we won't be drafting QB until very late, as KC will try to fill the roster with guys to win now. I don't detest Smith as a player. I hate the idea of thinking of him as your franchise QB for the next 3+ years, especially if you're not going to try and find a QBOTF in this or next years draft. I haven't watched nearly enough to have a valid opinion of the QBs coming out next year. |

I wanted Foles more than Smith, but Smith is a better starter right now. But I don't want to hear about the long suffering Chiefs fans and how we've waited and waited for a QB rookie to lead us. I've been right there as big a fan as there is, and I've got some good, and great memories of games and seasons. If you feel the Chiefs are making you suffer, if you feel betrayed of abused, that's on you. The pussies on the board are the ones that act like Meredith Baxter Birney in all all her Lifetime movies where she played the abused wife. |

You were trotting around the idea that Andy Reid loved Foles etc. Well, that's pretty much put to bed now. Some fans might be pissed at the franchise for doing what they're doing. Probably are. Not what I meant at all. I'd say thats where fans are pointing said anger that stems from missing out by a year on the most surefire QB drafted int eh last 20 years or so. Atleast thats what frustrates me. Hell, I'm happy they are doing what they think is best to win now. We've been in rebuilding mode for 6 years, frankly it's pretty old. |

""The bigger question is, would Alex still be getting traded if he had never had the shoulder injury?
Alex threw fast, flat passes in 2006 was never the same since. I think Alex is the victim of a shoulder injury he could never recover from. If Alex Smith never had the shoulder injury, I think he well could have been a franchise QB. He has everything else. Everybody blames the coaching carousel. I think the shoulder injury was more responsible for limiting Alex than the coaching was. "" DIG THIS: WELL ALEXSCUSE #1 , 2 , prime time example 1. THE INJURY doctors cleared him to play= if he was injured why didn't he say= or do something instead of hurting the team?? 2. COACHING funny Frank Gore never complained =came in the same year =FHOFer...hmmm...many 1000 yard seasons, 49ers best RB ever Its all a smoke screen= Alexscuse made my Alexsexuals... |
just wondering
do people consider Alex Smith a "bust" considering where he was drafted, the awful numbers, the injury prone career, etc I think in that sense he is 100 percent a bust. Not a Russel or Leaf flame out, but still never ever going to live up to his college, draft, pick slot |
