The "ignore" feature is useless, because those quotes can just spring up on you, making you read them. Add that to the fact that actually using your self-control to ignore some posts is impossible, and you understand why we are where we are.

I've never used the ignore feature, so I'll take your word for it.

But, if I don't want to read something written by someone who I don't wish to converse with, I just do that: I don't read it.
