Watched this seasons first episode. The blood was great (lots of it), but the ghey shit right after the hetero sex was sick imo.

Lots of Romans had homosexual relationships. I don't know why you'd be surprised by the gay stuff, considering it's been in there since the first season.

The blood is way over the top this season. Distracting and annoying instead of good stylistic choice (not that it was ever really THAT great to begin with).

Story was meh. Glad they're getting to Crassus.

I was trying to determine if I was underwhelmed or if it has an unreasonable standard to be held to.

That being said, it is pretty damn hard to keep other things going in addition to total ****ing war. I think it is sound to focus singularly on the war aspect because it is such a major piece of the puzzle. It is just a dissent from previous seasons.

I noticed the blood was a little overdone also, but I imagine it and the tits are selling a huge portion of the viewership, so I don't anticipate that going away.

I'm going to get to the end strictly because the first season was good enough to watch it through. Sucks that Andy couldn't be around for it though. He was a better fit than the new guy.

Oh. And I'm disappointed I haven't heard one "JUPITERS COCK" yet. That makes me ROFL every time.

Great final episode - fitting end to the series. I too liked that they gave a shout out to all the principal cast members from previous season in the end credits, including Andy.

That finale was the greatest thing I have ever seen on television...

Watched the Finale. It was better than the rest of this season. By quite a bit. I'm not sure it tops the Season 1 Finale. That was phenominal TV. Either way, the finale was ****ing good. It didn't pull any punches with any of the main characters. They didn't go soft on any of their ends. It was really really great.

I am bummed that it is over. I really enjoyed that show/story. Even though it got pretty cruddy at points in there. Still really good.

Back to the Americans for my soft core porn fix...

Although I enjoyed the Da Vinci show more than I thought I would.

I have that recorded on my DVR. I'll probably give it a look tonight.

Glad Game of Thrones is back on - that will help alleviate my Spartacus fix a bit.

I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Liam. IMO he did such a ****ing amazing job replacing Andy. It took him some time but he really made that role his own. The final few episodes really showed his potential. Sucks to see such a great show come to an end but hopefully more comes from this.

I went in thinking I'd hate DaVinci's, but really enjoyed episode 1. I'll definately DVR it again next Friday.

Yeah GOT more than makes up for it.
