Not only that but the round robin football and home/away basketball schedules are awesome.

Different strokes I suppose.

You're right on the financial situation but I'm not that high on the round robin. I don't like playing 2 extra games vs our league in basketball, rather play elite teams around the country. If you go back to the Big 8 days we dedicated only 14 games to these clowns. Now it's 18. Hate giving dogs like TCU and Tech home games vs us each year.

It definitely is easier in both sports especially football.

Look at the SEC for example. The East is much weaker than the West allowing marginal teams to sit atop the standings for a good amount of the year.

If forced to play everyone in the league there is no dodging great teams whether they be in your division or not.

I wouldn't mind the round robin at all if Mizzou and A&M were still in the conference. But I can't really get excited for 4 games of basketball vs TCU and West Virginia.

After that, it's a push. CU is a mess and has been for the better part of 10 years. Rutgers? Meh.

Who would want to go to WVU and deal with their travel issues? Seems like a big recruiting disadvantage to me.

West Virginia has two players in their 2014 class from within the Big 12 footprint...2. One is a two star from Morgantown. The other is a three star from Hutch CC.

That is not sustainable over the long term. (And they're only the 47th best class, so it's not like they caught lightning in a bottle and can weather a few down classes while they shift their focus.)

Lotsa slow learners around here. There is no need for the Big 12 to do anything. The fact they haven't done anything is all the proof you need. No adds are going to create incremental revenue to the existing 10 members. So they're not ever going to get invites. Is this hard to understand?

Feeding the hungry is a noble thing in life. But it's not really that common in re-alignment talks.

So basically nobody is knocking down the Big XII's door looking for an invite to the conference. Pretty much what everyone figured.

Kansas has the best basketball team in the country. It's not even close.

Interesting fact: Towson is rated 37 places above Kansas in the Sagarin CFB ratings.

No we don't, it's really early. Louisville looks like a legit threat like usual, Duke could potentially beat us again if we re-played it and Kentucky is still the betting favorite. We've had the best team in college basketball only one time in my life.

An SEC team played in 11 of the 20 highest-rated games in 2013.

B1G: 5 games.
ACC: 4 games.
Pac12: 2 games.
Big12: 0 games.

Mizzou volleyball wins SEC title and is still undefeated (32-0).

Awesome. Love great volleyball.

My daughter actually played against one of their now freshman middles (I think) last year in club season. The Mizzou girl did a slide hit and cracked a girl straight in the face with her hit, concussing her at the tournament. Wicked, wicked shot. I don't think I've ever seen a harder hit live and in person.

Were you just on 41 news Zach? I saw a sporting fan on there doing an interview.

I heard about that as well, they had a crowd of almost 8,000 for the last match against Miss state.
