Flying a banner would be stupid at this point. It would have the opposite effect.

So, we're trapped... Nice!

**** it, fly the banner! Clark's not moving shit. And if he does, he'll have to not only move the team, but change his ways because he's not going to find another KC (80,000 screaming farmers who show because there's seemingly less to do), and this shit isn't going to fly in a really big city. I dare him! Maybe he can move to Vegas, or Tahoe, so people might fly into town to see their team lose crushing home games. I can be a fan of the Omaha Chiefs, or the San Antonio Chiefs, or the Va. Beach Chiefs, or the Fargo Chiefs. Perhaps Chicago could support a 2nd team? Oh, here's an idea, the Rome Chiefs.. The Romans are coming, the Romans are coming!!!

Yeah, Clark isn't moving shit, don't ever worry about that.

Lets go back to the glory days before they got here!

God what a bunch of freaking crybabies and stupid ones at that.

And yes I realize this is Clay. He was the only one that has the all 22 at the moment

Yeah, that's some classic Alex shit right there.

Does anybody ever stop to wonder why the Chiefs have difficulty in their running game? Do you think that maybe the lack of a deep passing game might influence the way opposing defenses scheme and play against the Chiefs? If all you ever do is run and throw sideways, how are defenses going to play you?

Well "we" get it, Andy doesn't.

He needs multiple years in the same system, they said. Well, it's Year Four.

He needs a better OL, they said. The teams goes out and gets an elite RT, and sack numbers drop.

He needs more weapons, they said. Good grief, there are weapons all over the field. Most QB's would kill to have this offensive talent to work with.

Some of us called it from Day One. Alex Smith is who Alex Smith is. A below average QB who could be given the keys to HOF talent around him and find a way to put the offense in the ditch.

Four years into this experiment, there is no progression - actually, there's been regression, and it's time to move the **** on. Otherwise, we know our fate before a season ever starts. 9-11 wins and a one-and-done when it matters. Unless we're fortunate enough to draw the Brian Hoyer's of the world in R1.

Yeah.. he is who he is and those numbers say it all.

...the dropped passes yesterday were brutal, and a detriment all season long.

Ware, Kelce and Maclin all choked.

This was a complete team loss.

Hush, this thread needs no logic, some here don't understand logic.

This was a complete team loss.

Plenty of blame, offense, defense ST's and coaching!

Somewhere I heard the beer vendors even had a hand in it.

Wow. That miss is awful. Just horrible. Alex Smith has to let the ball fly. Jesus.

Would it really matter if they did? Will 100% conformity of opinion on this sway the decision-makers for the KC organization?

It's just gonna be yet another long offseason of redundant pouting and frustration at the powers that be. Yay. :(

For this reason.. and the reality that Smith is not irreplaceable... I'm good with moving onto some other QB. Not expecting it though. I'd be shocked if Reid and Dorsey put this loss on Alex.

Can you or anyone else please elaborate on this? Seems th be the common consensus that we couldnt run yesterday...so lets look at it....

1st and 10 at KC 45
(9:31 - 1st) (Shotgun) S.Ware right guard to PIT 48 for 7 yards (J.Harrison).

2nd and 3 at PIT 48
(9:01 - 1st) (No Huddle) T.Hill right end to PIT 41 for 7 yards (R.Shazier).

Those are the first two plays of the game. 2 great runs. Then we run EIGHT consecutive times (end of the first drive and the entire second drive). Then the following drive, we run again.

1st and 10 at KC 25
(9:18 - 2nd) (Shotgun) S.Ware up the middle to KC 28 for 3 yards (J.Hargrave).

3 yards. Not a great run, but allowed the following 7 yard pass to be a first down. Next play, interception. Drive over. So far, we have run the ball 3 times in 3 offensive drives.

We run on 1st down on our 4th drive.

1st and 10 at KC 20
(6:04 - 2nd) S.Ware left guard to KC 23 for 3 yards (R.Shazier).

Then 2 straight Alex incompletions, and we have to punt.

Next drive, our fifth....pass, pass, pass, pass, end of the half.

To summarize to this point of the game, we have had 5 offensive drives, and attempted 4 runs. Four. 4 attempts for 20 yards. Failing to see a.) That the Steelers are preventing us from running or b.) That we are having trouble running period. Maybe the secobd half will show how we had trouble running.

2nd and 10 at KC 24
(14:50 - 3rd) (Shotgun) S.Ware up the middle to KC 23 for -1 yards (J.Harrison).

Ware's first poor run of the night. Two plays later, we punted. Next drive we ran the ball twice.

1st and 10 at KC 38
(9:11 - 3rd) (Shotgun) S.Ware up the middle to KC 41 for 3 yards (B.Dupree).

3rd and 3 at KC 45
(8:33 - 3rd) (Shotgun) Direct snap to S.Ware. S.Ware up the middle to PIT 47 for 8 yards (M.Mitchell).

Two plays later on second down...

2nd and 10 at PIT 47
(7:07 - 3rd) (Shotgun) T.Hill left end pushed ob at PIT 39 for 8 yards (R.Shazier).

Then we have a delay of game, Alex then takes a sack, and then we punt again. Next drive, four straight passes and then...

1st and 10 at PIT 36
(1:39 - 3rd) C.West left end to PIT 37 for -1 yards (J.Hargrave).

No idea why West is getting a first down carry. Anyway, moving onto our last drive. It was a 12 play drive, almost all of which were passes. Here are the runs.

1st and 10 at KC 49
(9:03 - 4th) S.Ware up the middle to PIT 40 for 11 yards (M.Mitchell).

1st and 10 at PIT 26
(6:25 - 4th) T.Hill up the middle to PIT 23 for 3 yards (R.Shazier).

That's it folks. Ballgame. I feel like I am losing my mind here. You claim the Steelers shut us down. Other posters (mostly the Alex ballwashers) agree we couldnt run the ball. I would love to see how thats the case.

WARE:
8 carries for 35 yards
4.3 YPC
1 negative run
1 run less than 3 yards

HILL:
3 carries for 16 yards
5.3 YPC
0 negative runs

WEST:
1 carry for -1 yard

Steelers didnt shut down S**T.

I forgot this mother****er threw for 15 ****ing TDs this year.

Matt ****ing Cassel can throw for 15 ****ing TDs.

So sick of seeing Chiefs fans defend a player just because he rarely makes noticeable mistakes, and even when he does it's met with, "How many games has he won?"

RunKC 01-16-2017 07:06 PM

Want more salt in the wound?

In 6 of the last 8 losses for the Chiefs, they held the opponent to 19 or less points.
