That's what I thought. Roberts seems like Sparky Anderson (Capt Hook). Wood threw one bad pitch. I'd have left him in the game to face Bregman.

That's by design, I would think. Wonder if McHugh gets a shot. Morton has not gone past 7 innings this year.

Not many people probably remember this, but the only reason why the Cardinals beat the Nationals in 2012 is because Davey Johnson overused his main bullpen arms.

Weather screwed up the series and Games 3-5 were played consecutively. The Cardinals were pisspounding the Nationals in Game 3 and Johnson used his closer, Drew Storen, for an inning in a game that was long over. Then, he had to use him in Game 4 because it was an elimination game tied in the ninth. Then, the Nationals had a two run lead in the ninth, so Johnson brought him out for the third straight day, and predictably, he gave up four runs to blow the game and eliminate the Nats from contention.

It's the same thing that Francona did with Miller last year. He ran him out at the beginning of the series like a rabbit, and then by the time it was Game 6 and 7 he was fatigued and the Cubs were much more effective against him.

Ridiculous to see someone up in the pen throwing during a no-hitter with 75 pitches.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2017 08:19 PM

He could have stretched that to three. Gonzalez played that lazy as hell.

WilliamTheIrish 10-28-2017 08:23 PM

That would have been a tough out, but I'd like to think a MLB LF'er could make that play in a WS game.

Bellinger has not run the bases well in this inning.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 10-28-2017 08:26 PM

God, I hate this bullpen. Why would you use these ****s?

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-28-2017 08:26 PM

Nice job over-managing, Hinch.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 10-28-2017 08:27 PM

Why does Hinch hate McHugh? Dude was money in his one outing.

CaliforniaChief 10-28-2017 08:27 PM

This Astros bullpen brings back some good 2015 memories.

Because when your starter has given up three runners in 6.1 innings and is under 80 pitches, you need to ****ing panic.

Should have been a walk.
