Gabe is reporting what Mike Alden reported at the press conference, which is: Mike Anderson called Alden while he met with the Curators. He requested permission to speak with Arkansas, which Alden and the Curators granted with the sole caveat that they would no longer be offering an extension to Anderson's contract if he did contact them.

Then you were listening to the wrong station...I too heard that once they granted him permission to speak to Arkansas, that they rescinded their offer of an extension...they didn't release him, fire him...or whatever you "heard."

After MA got permission to speak to ARK, Mizzou retracted the offer and if MA was coming it would be to his current contract
