Would be awesome if we nailed down two top 50 kids for 2013 in one weekend.

Coger is an amazing get for this program, but the Purvis connection is exciting....

Heh, I went to school with him and live a couple blocks over from him. Maybe I should grill him about coming to Mizzou.

Power Mizzou has just reported that Ish Wainwright has also committed to Mizzou.

WOW - what a f'n weekend!!!

Haith just got two top 50 players within 24 hours.

Faith in Haith.

This, again.

I remember after the hiring in the Mizzou Head Coach search thread, after we had time to cool off, we looked at the recruits Haith had coming into Miami and who he had on his team at the time.

No one is questioning his ability to recruit. It's what his in game coaching is like that some of us were questioning.

That is exactly what my post noted. However, all of the absolute HATE he got from Mizzou "fans" was embarrassing. People literally wanted Alden fired because of the move. Think about that for a minute.

Wouldn't you want Alden fired after the situation with Painter?

I don't hate Haith right now and I admit I overreacted when he was hired, but the way Alden handled the situation was ridiculous.

So what MU got was another Quin Snyder.

Yeah, because Haith is totally on drugs and is going to put Mizzou into probation.

Snyder was also younger than Haith when he was hired by Mizzou and was supposed to be boy wonder. I don't think you can compare Snyder to Haith at all.

What did Alden do incorrectly in the Painter situation? As far as I could tell, the department leaked nothing; all of the info was coming from some blowhard in STL that had "connections" to Painter.

However, even if we assume he did something terribly wrong, I'm not sure that would undo all of the good he's done for Mizzou athletics.

Good recruiter, horrible coach.

Sounds like Snyder to me.
