You're mentioning arguably the two greatest high school players of all-time.

As a point of comparison, Hosmer moved very, very quickly through the system, and he was considered a far more polished high school player than Starling, though Bubba's athleticism and potential upside are both greater.

Listening to the Border Patrol this morning Boddicker thinks Starling won't be up in 5 years..

Ummm....I think this is wrong as ****, assuming Starling is whom we think he is.

Angels place lefty Scott Kazmir on waivers

The Angels have placed Scott Kazmir on waivers.
Kazmir is making $12 million this season and is owed another $2.5 million via an option buyout in 2012, so he's going to pass through waivers quite easily and wind up as a free agent. The 27-year-old left-hander allowed 30 runs in 15 1/3 innings this year at the minor league level and might simply have nothing left.

I assume he's coming off injury? take a chance once he becomes a FA?

Also Boddicker said Cain has a swiss cheese bat and is nothing more than a backup.

He was pretty negative

Royals pessimism is good for ratings. Royals fans get fired up to call in and yell, while non-royals fans who are sick of hearing about the farm and believe they will be bad forever will applaud.

Robin Yount played fewer than 70 games in the minors.

If Mike Boddicker knew a thing about ****ing scouting he wouldn't be working on local sports talk radio.

He also said Dylan Bundy was really wild when he saw him, but
Bundy had a grand total of 5 walks this season.

Boddicker is bitter and clueless.

Insane turnaround:

Quote:

The Royals' Alcides Escobar went 3-for-3 for his fifth straight multi-hit game. He is batting .353 (18-for-51) with five doubles in 14 games this month. The five straight games with two or more hits represent the longest such streak by a Royals player since 2009.

I'd pick him up and send him to NW Arkansas. Maybe he just needs some rest, he could make it back to the bigs like Lima Time did with KC. AFTER he's cleared waivers. I wouldn't buy his contract out.
