....Self and Hoiburg.

Hoiburg I can see, but Self getting it is like that player that keeps making the Pro Bowl based on name recognition. Haith should have won this thing, easily. He literally came out of nowhere with the same players, essentially, that Anderson couldn't do dick with.

And yes, that statement will probably spawn at least 300 responses from KU fan, I realize that.

With Missouri leaving the conference, I'm surprised they received any awards

I would have voted for Self, actually. Dude refuses to give up his hold on the conference.

Furthermore, while Haith has thus far exceeded my (very limited) expectations or him, there are times when he scares the shit out of me. For example, production out of the half-court set is too often tenuous (see: at KU).

What's funny?

Haith has done a nice job. Not taking anything from him, but I'm not crowning anyone just yet, especially someone working with 0 of his own players.

Does he have a single one of his own recruits contributing? Should we wait for this to happen before proclaiming him the answer?

Right now, things are pretty damn good.

Heh. I'm with ya. Has to be reaaal hard leading all those high 4 and 5 star players into battle. But, but, but it's a down year. Only starting roster is full of top tier players, not 2 full teams worth

But we are not undefeated sooo....

Captain Obvious 03-04-2012 04:25 PM

Kinda surprised Dixon didn't even get Honorable Mention. Especially considering he was 6th Man and first team defense.

Denmon-1st team
Cardo-2nd team
English and Flip-3rd team

Yeah, I don't think this is even remotely close to anything I've suggested.

You realize that the coach has to actually go and find those 4 and 5 star players right?

Kansas University is a recruiting tool in and of itself. Just ask Wickedson.
