I guess I expected to be able to compare Geno to the guy across the field tonight on what I thought was a good match up. Was that so wrong?

Dude, come on. If I'm going to judge if Landry Jones can play in the NFL based on just this one game, I would say he didn't make very many throws or plays that had me going, "Wow, I want HIM as my starting QB!"

He had one whopping TD throw that required a good arm to make happen. The rest were wide open looks, easy crosses/slants, or WRs who made stupendous plays. Basically, he threw mostly TDs that Matt Cassel was capable of throwing. Think about it. When was the last time Cassel threw a TD that had you going, "Holy shit what a throw!" How many of those did he have in 2010? How many has he had in his CAREER?

Those easy throws are the kind of throws that Landry Jones has feasted on his entire career. Just like Cassel.

Now Geno Smith on the other hand...

Nassib made more NFL plays tonight than Jones. Fact.

That's what Landry Jones does.

I'm not 100% sold any one QB in this draft including Geno Smith. He looked good tonight though. Wouldn't you agree?

Ayep.

He's going to be a nice third round draft choice for the Chiefs. After they pick Geno in the first.

Geno Smith isn't a "can be a franchise QB in the NFL"...

Geno Smith is a franchise QB in the NFL.

Guy is a ****ing rock star.

How many QB's can you name that can drop a ball into a receivers hands like that when they are double/triple covered?

At any level.

The guy is a ****ING ROCK STAR.

Saccopoo 11-18-2012 01:22 AM

Jesus Christ...that guy can throw a beautiful ball.

Holy shit Boss, was that actually a Pioli quote in your sig?

So it's true then. His obsession with Cassel is sexually motivated.

RealSNR 11-18-2012 01:47 AM

Seven games. Ugh. Way too many.

So much crazy shit happens in the NFL all the time. Mediocre or good teams can fall asleep at the wheel against shitty teams like us just as we decide to put up a fight. It could happen in any of those seven games. We already survived close calls against the Ravens and Steelers. I'd rather not have it happen again, but it probably will. This next time we might not be so lucky and the Chiefs will actually win a game.

Jacksonville has GOT to win some more games. They just got to.

Yeah, its from the Dawson interview.

I couldn't believe he said that dumb shit...its cool stuff to spout if your team has a winning record, but when you are 1-8 and your handpicked QB leads the NFL in turnovers even though he was benched for a couple games and missed time to injury, it makes you look like a complete idiot that doesn't care a bit if the team wins.

If he would have said some dumb shit like that in an interview with Jack Harry, Jack would have brought out the rape stick.
