This is entertaining

I think it's more of a "just produce something, you shithead"-era we've moved into now.

Not every pass need be a 20-yard bullet.

When the opponent is sending more men than you can block, you have to get the ball out quickly to the open man.

Yeah, I think most have moved on from hoping for an entree to begging for table scraps from the guy.

Alex Smith – Often considered a game manager, Smith’s eight deep pass attempts are ninth-most in the league.
He is looking for more yards down-field. Problem is a combo of WRs aren't great threats, Running game hasn't caused Defenses concern, and the O-Line is bad.

Holy shit! You got almost all the Alexcuses in one sentence! Can you go edit that post and blame play calling to so we can cover them all?

Yeah, the whole"no one is getting open" thing, is that still a thing?

It wasn't a "thing" last year either.

I have several more stills to present. I am going to keep a running tally of the guys running free Alex misses this year.

Another poor read by Alex. On this play he has Fasano coming wide open down the seam, and he has his man in the flat.

Instead he throws to a very tightly recovered receiver and the pass is overthrown, nowhere near the receiver.

The end zone cam shows just how open the TE was going to be:

This was a 1st and 10, too.

Showing a gif instead of a still pic is necessary.. but I have to assume here that AS11 locked onto the WR on the right all the way, huh?

If so, that's a bad play by him indeed.
