I'll take Flynn for a swap of 5th round picks in the 2013 draft.

Outside of that, no ****ing way.

Wow Taylor Lewan and Jake Mathews are staying in school, so now Luke Joeckel's value just went up.

Would not be surprised to see several teams trying to move up for this guy and trade with us, like the Rams.

The Rams had the #2 pick.

Before Fisher got there. The bust LT Smith is gone now.

Um, read what you wrote again.

The Rams traded out of the NUMBER TWO slot last year.

Why wouldn't they? They had a guy they liked at QB and could get a ton of high picks for their draft pick to build their team, which they did.

ESPN's Mel Kiper acknowledged on SportsCenter Thursday that Notre Dame ILB Manti Te'o is unlikely to be a top-five draft pick.

Kiper was recommending the Chiefs take Te'o first overall during the season, but he's snapped back to reality a bit. "(Inside linebackers) typically don't go in the top-five overall," Kiper conceded. "1993, Marvin Jones went fourth overall to the Jets. That very rarely happens. You see 8-11 for the middle linebackers last 10-12 years, have come off the board. If he gets in -- Te'o does -- into that 10-15 range, it could allow a team like the Baltimore Ravens, looking for the heir apparent to Ray Lewis, to jump up and get a guy like Manti Te'o." Kiper is now recommending the Chiefs take Texas A&M LT Luke Joeckel at No. 1.

Yeah, it would be SOOOOOO awesome not upgrading the team at all with the number one pick.

DBOSHO 01-10-2013 05:00 PM

Am I the only one that thinks Joeckel would be a reeruned move?

I feel like im taking crazy pills.

Not sure if serious...

KCrockaholic 01-10-2013 05:17 PM

Sometimes I wonder if Mitch is really all there upstairs. I love his enthusiasm but he needs to stick to just calling games, and leave his reeruned football takes on the sidelines.

SAUTO 01-10-2013 05:41 PM

So now Kiper isn't in the projection business?

He "recommends"?

**** what he says for sure then.

I hope the Chiefs resign Albert as soon as FA begins so Kiper will STFU.

In other words, they're situation is WHOLLY unlike Kansas City's.

So remind me again - why did you even bring it up?
