This just in a half hour ago: Alex Gordon is out 3-4 weeks (broken thumb). Anyone's guess whether he'll be available (or still too rusty) for opening day, but he's going to miss most of spring training.

Great start to another season of fail

Adding additional wonderful news, Daniel Duffy has been shut down with a sore shoulder and Jeff Bianchi is out for the year with Tommy John surgery.

The season of "awesome" continues.

When did our epic karma start? Can't the Royals ever get a friggin' break? Please?

WE had our break 25 years ago. Stop being so greedy. We won't get another turn for 15 or so years. Patience please.

On Duffy, it's a sore elbow...not shoulder.

Someday I am going to stab you. I won't enjoy it but it must be done out of obligation.

Looking through an old nebraska Media guide "Gordon is a Left handed Mike Schmitt with more power and speed"

Unfortunately, the primary point of comparison was the fact that Schmidt also caught pop-ups at shoulder level.
