No, the biggest reason is because Weis is a douchebag. The fact that his son is going to UF is pretty much a coincidence. Weis was leaving no matter what, its just in his nature to be an asshole.

Oddly enough, none of this would likely be a topic of discussion had Weis put the team first and requested that all parties involved keep their mouths shut about his impending departure. Whether it had any bearing on outcomes or not, it was most certainly a distraction this young team did not need the past two weeks. There is absolutely zero reason that Florida and Weis could not have postponed this process until his work in KC was completed. "I am definitely interested in the position, but would prefer to finish my work here before discussing it further." likely would have been enough "team effort" to eliminate all possible speculation and potential distraction.
