Maybe I could have been nominated if someone would approve me to ****ing post pics or start threads or something. Seriously, this place is great but I bet a lot of people try to become part of the community and give up after a try (or a few) to get some privileges.

All you had to do was ask. Those restrictions are in place as discouragement to trolls and spammers. It takes like 30 posts or a polite request to get "promoted". That's not a whole lot but it seems to catch most the spam/trolls. Thousands of people have managed to get through it unscathed. You should be all set now.
