Haven't the last 3 superbowl winners all won like 9 or 10 games each? We should just lose out, we're doing too well.

I would've said it's crazy to expect a playoff win after we had 4 or 5 wins... but I'd agree it's possible. There are plenty of holes in the AFC, and it's worse now that the Colts and Bengals have run into injuries. Plus we have a coaching staff with plenty of playoff experience. I don't think any 2 win team has ever won a playoff game the next year... so it'd be something if they could do it.

Something like that... the Ravens definitely limped through the last month or so of last year. Injuries had something to do with it but they still looked like a wounded duck coming into the playoffs.

This team was 2-14 last year and a disaster on and off the field. This isn't the 95 or 97 Chiefs. They're pretty much playing with house money at this point.

History says teams with these kind of turnarounds won't win a playoff game... but no 2 win team has ever come close to 9-0 either. And the AFC isn't particularly strong... so who knows. Last year was about as low as you can go. Nothing about this season is depressing though, unless you just want to be miserable.

I'm not really depressed, but I doubt we go to the playoffs two years in a row with Alex Smith.

I've said it before, but I believe they were better than a 2-14 team on paper last year, that season just happened to feature what was probably the craziest horror show combination of coaching and circumstance and snowballing misfortune that I can ever remember. It was like an embodiment of Murphy's Law. And although I didn't see 9-0 coming any more than anyone else (and let's be honest: nobody saw that..) I never thought a turnaround would be all that difficult with this roster

Although, you know, at this point, I think it's maybe time to dispense with all the "2-14 last year" talk. This is a 9-0 team. What they are right now is a lot more pertinent than what they were 12 months ago, and after the season they've had so far, a playoff win should be expected, rather than a longshot. Assuming they don't collapse in the next two months, this isn't going to be anything like the 2006 or 2010 teams backdooring their way in, and they shouldn't get their shit pushed in the way those teams did. This team is good enough to win one.

Big win by the Colts.

Who cares? Only need more than the other team. Will you please evade filters or tell AC to EAD?
