Rondon strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't wear deodorant

Even Tigers fans were disgusted with Rondon after the game.

Damn, don't ever do wrong to one of Duffy's dudes. I feel like he would will his way to kicking your ass. Let alone what Moose would do to someone. Doesn't help that literally none of the Tigers were in any hurry to defend Rondon. Referencing Chiefspants' post, those Tiger fans are right. I don't think I have seen a team that deflated in a long, long time. That entire squad is going through the motions out there. Just showing up to the yard and collecting checks. If that franchise knew what was best, IMO, they should tear down everything that the rest of the league will take. That's a bad culture in that organization.

Dumb to hit someone in your division who you'll face many more times. Never a wise choice.

Dodgers tie the Twins in the bottom of the 8th after being down 5-0 earlier!

Twins blow 5-0 lead, lose

I was told that the Dodgers were due to regress three weeks ago, that they were at an unsustainable pace of winning 109 games.
Well, now they're on-pace to win 113 games and 40... yes, FOURTY games above .500 in July. The Twins got a taste of an unbeatable team (relatively-speaking), just as we did. Though, their losses were much more heartbreaking and poorly-timed than ours were. While the Indians and Royals have been winning game-after-game, the Twins had to face the best team the game has seen in many, many years. I didn't believe in the Twins this year from the start, and I still don't. They have a very solid core offensively that will be trouble for the AL Central for years to come, but their pitching isn't there. Their squad as a whole, isn't there. Yet. I think its the Indians and Royals division to take, likely favored to the former. But with the way KC has been playing, it's anyone's division right now. |
On the other hand, LA has zero excuses to not get it done this year. Literally nothing short of a World Series win will live up to their hype in regards to the regular season that they're having. I think many in the baseball world, me included, would get great entertainment out of seeing Colorado or Arizona bounce them in the NLDS.
I remember the 2014 Royals fan in me who was just happy to see the Royals get into the postseason, everything after that was just gravy. 2015 was a completely different mentality. |

I was laughing looking at the replay and how almost nonchalant most of the Tiger players were in "defending" their guy. Even their catcher barely gave any effort to stop Moose...I watched the whole thing and I haven't seen a more disinterested bunch of players after their guy hit an opposing batter.
It would be interesting to see what happens to Rondon after this.....don't think he was liked all that much to begin with. |
