Don't confuse me with someone who doesn't want hill on this team I've been on team wait for all the facts and see since day one even after the audio tape also it's totally rational to speculate this given the fact that the National and local media is still not reporting things that would paint hill in a positive light some still calling for him to be suspended or banned which effects how others outside of Chiefs fans view this team. No one likes bad PR. I'm happy with how they have handled it so far. I want to hope that they learned their lesson with Hunt and I want to hope that they not only just want to win a Superbowl this year but want to try for it beyond 2019. I'm just speculating that what if they don't want to sign a long term deal to avoid another potential accusation or drama? Media doesn't hast won't change MY opinion I'm talking about the team. We may be watching a classic Greek mythology "redemption" metaphor...playing out before us. He was already "generational" before this media shitshow...anyone think he isn't "inspired" to redeem himself. Hermetics refer to this process/transformation as Nigredo... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigredo "In analytical psychology, the term became a metaphor 'for the dark night of the soul, when an individual confronts the shadow within' It's kind of beautiful...as far as sports go. |

Morse was a legit Center, when he played.

It's been like that every ****ing year of Morse's time with the Chiefs.
Austin Reiter. Jordan Devey. Zach Fulton. They've all done very well when Morse has been hurt. He can talk about Fulton being an experienced center, but that's far from the case. Reid threw him in at C for one preseason game in 2015 and all of a sudden that was his primary role. Just a totally stupid and ignorant comment. Probably done for troll effect. |
TJ doesn't actually research any of his takes or even believe them.
He's just a professional clown troll. A discount Skip Bayless. If he couldn't troll Chiefs fans he would be absolutely irrelevant. |
Paying a Center to stay in the Chiefs situation is the kind of thing the Donkeys would do, meh moronic postings. Carpenter has always been a clueless hack of a guy.

The best thing Dietah could have done is work out all offseason with the Cheetah. Looking good! Dietah and Cheetah going to tear it up.

"They also may be without top wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who is suspended as the NFL investigates his possible involvement in a child abuse case." Does Teicher REALLY think this is still a possibility??? |

This is a slow media cycle...if they announce it now, Florio and the other media parasites will obsess about it. Drum up drama on how it's a black eye for the NFL's reputation... In a few weeks...people will be distracted by TC news of their own team. It doesn't benefit anyone to make a decision before.... |
Tyreek and his representation would have to have some serious evidence of the Espinal family for him to end up with zero games.

Get it out now, let people say what they will then they'll have forgotten about it by training camp. |

I would imagine Chiefs brass already have a good idea about how this is going to play out...that's all that matters right now. Making it public benefits no one. Also, there is no suspension drama between the NFLPA and Goodell right now. It would be a shitty move to issue one during negotiations...that will likely lead to an appeal. They will attempt to curtail his power when they renegotiate...more than they already are. |
|
Quote:
I would think doing it at camp would take some talk away from actual camp starting and that would be the talk. But we shall see. In any event, I don't think they should really be that worried about Goodell and his power, it only effects what, 3% of the NFL? Most guys aren't always in trouble. |

They want the least amount of attention as possible on this story because it is not going to set well with most individuals. If it got reported now every media outlet will run with it non-stop for days if not weeks. If the outcome is released when there is a lot of new news then less media people will talk about it and the ones that do will be forced to spend less time stirring up the social outrage that looks bad on Hill and the NFL. It would do more "harm" to the NFL and Hill for this story to be released now rather than later therefore it will not be released now. |
Quote:
Either way, if it's now or later, they're gonna take a hit if they don't suspend him. Which is why I'm guessing he'll get something. |
IF he truly is 100 percent in the clear and the "you shoul be...." is taken out of context sooner than later would be good for the NFL for the simple reason that it shows the league will diligently stand up for their players.
It should also be proactive about going after entities that cause harm to the shield , there is no shortage of reporters. Force their hand. I'm in the he clear camp btw |
Quote:
If he tries to suspend Hill as a means to appease the media "optics"...he's going to have a fight on his hands. You cant just suspend a player that was being extorted because you feel like it....especially if the union views Hill as innocent....and a victim. Basically, it'll piss them off. It'll will be the last time Goodell see's that amount of authority...his wings are going to get clipped. The timing of the preliminary CBA negotiations adds an interesting twist to this...and works in Hill's favor. |

I still think they give him somewhere between 2-6 games and just use the "damage to the shield" argument as the reasoning. That way, if anything else comes up, they can still say that he was punished. |
Quote:
If they wanna do zero, they'll have to dump a lot of the info to justify it. I'm not sure how that works legally? |
Got from Marty on Saturday:
Got a call around 445pm Az time, however, that news on Tyreek Hill’s status could come out this week. Length of suspension, if any, is still speculative. NFL might dump this news during MLB All Star festivities. |

Leak it to the media at 4:59 pm on Friday, Roger. Then shut down those offices.
No suspension. |

If he is suspended by the NFL, the phrase, "Punished for what?" comes to mind. I'm sure similar wording would occur to NFLPA leadership.
The NFL can't release all the information that Tyreek's attorney provided to them (assuming that happened) and involve themselves in a potential criminal case somewhere down the line. That makes no sense, whatsoever. A 10-foot pole isn't long enough for that boondoggle. On the other hand, if they provide no justification for declining punishment, people like Florio will have a stroke. Semi-tough situation for the "shield". If I were them, I'd make a statement like, "There was insufficient evidence to suspend Tyreek and based on the information we received from all the parties, no purpose served in such action." However, it may well be that they're delaying any announcement simply due to the new CBA negotiations. If so, that tends to favor Tyreek's and the Chiefs' hopes. FAX |

Maybe hold off a minute. |
If he gets zero games, doesn't the NFL have to throw the KC media under the bus? Won't the NFL leak Schefter's talking points to him...something along the lines about how the local media got this story totally wrong for from the start. The NFL has to correct the narrative on this to avoid too much of a PR hit from low information fans.

I want to see Florios reaction
