The good news is that we burned the three biggest holes on the pitching staff in one game tonight.

Dayton's brilliance this off season all on glorious display in one evening!

We're going to be significantly hamstrung the next few years with those crappy contracts to Gordon, Kennedy, and Soria.

Hos needs to come out with an article in the Players Tribune tomorrow.

Nightfyre 07-26-2016 09:38 PM

You know what?

The Royals should just commit full-on to 2017.

Sell Davis, Volquez, Morales, Hoch

Bring up Dozier.
Bring up Mills, Almonte, Skoglund and Strahm to compete for various pitching spots.

Let's spend the remainder of the season seeing who can produce at the big league level.

Choo Choo all aboard the sale train. Not a fire sale, just reloading for next year, choo choo!

@JonHeyman: it's ok not to beat that cubs offer for chapman, but the nats still need a closer. badly.

I still don't see why offering Hosmer should be considered verboten. Someone is going to overpay for his services to a much greater degree than KC can get overpay him to stay...

@rustindodd: Royals' clubhouse was a frustrated room. Eric Hosmer said he wasn't worried about deadline. Jarrod Dyson was adamant they can make a run.

And we will get a 1st round comp pick when he leaves.

A 1st round pick won't pay dividends until five or more years down the line.

If it ever does, for that matter.
