In my eyes, Andy gets one to two of these inexplicable losses per year.

With the Chiefs, he's never exceeded that total (2018 may have been the only season where we didn't have one like this). But every year, we always seem to have a complete turd like this.

2013 (Colts @ home)
2014 (Titans, @Raiders)
2015 (Bears)
2016 (Bucs, Titans)
2017 (@Giants, @Jets)
2018 (None)
2019 (@Titans)
2020 (Super Bowl, ugh)
2021 (@Titans again)
2022 (@Colts)

Nope I’m a realist.

Brett Veach got absolutely exposed tonight.

He will absolutely bend to sign Jones.

Deep down he knows that the only reason we’ve won anything is the core Dorsey built.

Profile pic is going back to Dorsey immediately. **** Veach.

You're the one who's been a Chiefs fan for like 7 years right? Just making sure I have the right crank

I’m never kicking a FG on either 4th and short in or around the RZ….not a million years.

Taking the ball out of the hands of the best player in the planet on those 2 crucial plays and a 3rd & 1 in another crucial spot is just something I’ll NEVER understand.

Quit turtling up when the situation calls for the exact opposite.

These young receivers will shine like diamonds next week, no doubt about it

To be fair to Moore…he had a pass thrown behind him, overthrown, and deflected.

That's ALWAYS a problem with him, though. So it's probably more he's not in the proper position, because Mahomes hasn't had this problem with any other pass catcher this consistently.

The wide receivers we’re not catching the ball. They were not catching the ball and then looking for run after the catch. That was a problem.

Katie 09-07-2023 11:03 PM

Or to say they ran before the catch was made

Congrats to the Detroit Lions.

Came into the reigning Super Bowl Champs backyard and whipped our Chiefs. They deserved to win. They definitely aren't the same old Lions anymore.

And i think that's about all I want to say about that game. At least for now.

Too many dropped passes by the receivers.
Defense couldn't stop my grandma if they tried, and she's dead.
Refs weren't much help either.

Meh they were handed a 1 point win off of Toney's butterfingers.

A more accurate example of a Super Bowl champ getting whipped during their banner unveiling night was when the Chiefs dismantled the Faketriots in 2017, a.k.a. the Alex Smith MVP Game, also a.k.a. Kareem Hunt's coming out party.

Lions were better and still looked pretty average. Our WRs were truly awful, Pat was off, OL couldn't run block or stop 1 rusher, play calling was turd.

We should improve but if there's one thing I'm swinging back to it's prioritising offense over D. I'm really not fussed about having a balanced team and investing in the defense. Just give Pat all the weapons and protection. That's my overreaction

Oh hell, when I say "whipped 'em" I don't mean "crushed them," or "beat the feathers out of them."

I just meant they beat the Chiefs fair and square. No stupid flag to blame, or super questionable non-flag. They came into Arrowhead on opening night with the entire football-watching universe watching, they battled really hard for 60 minutes and earned a W.
