AZ picked up some additional draft capital tonight, so they can not be so greedy.

If the Chiefs do trade for him, I don't want to give up more than a 4th tops....and definitely nothing out of next years draft.

Yeah, well picking last in every round was always going to make the price steeper anyway. It's why I kept saying we might have to give up the 2nd and the 4th in this draft, plus maybe even another mid-round pick in next year's. Or a pretty good Player instead of one of those picks. I mean, great if we can do it for a lot less, but it's better to look at it from a worst case scenario, imo. Easier to be pleasantly surprised that way.

If that is the price then Veach should do a hard pass and say No Thanks.

It's the worst-case scenario. They might take a lot less. If they do bite, I hope the compensation is somewhere in the middle.

But I noticed that PHI, LVR and CIN all drafted more pass-rushers. And I know that our OL stoned PHI's vaunted DL in the SB, trust me I was watching. But all of those guys they drafted tonight are very talented players; and the field isn't always going to be lubed for our pleasure. These teams have dropped the gauntlet. They're hunting Chiefs, and they all just bought shiny brand-new big-game rifles.

So if we aren't going to put the most talented WRs possible (in this case a future HOFer) out there with Pat when these guys come calling, just remember how you wanted to keep two or three of those picks instead.
