Then they won't get Davis.
I bet the Kennedy throw in is Moore dumping salary.

If no one is willing to blow us away with a trade offer for Wade, we should absolutely keep him for next year. I believe we will make a strong run again next year. Holland could be back (on an incentive laden deal)? The bullpen will still be strong, just not as dominant as in years past. Cuthbert and Mondesi will be even more seasoned and ready to go. Moose will be back. Gordon will hopefully be back to at least average, above replacement level (like he's been this year). LoCain hopefully healthy all year.

They will just need to figure out the starting rotation. You can win with Duffy, Ventura, Vargas and Kennedy. They're just going to need to figure something out for the other spot, which I imagine they will address in the off-season (Due to Eddie, Luke and Kendrys not being back).

I take back all my criticism of Kennedy. Not really, even Dayton is trying to dump

Mike Minor should be in the rotation discussion also.

So now the speculation is that trading Kennedy would free up money for a Hos extension (which would fit with Boddicker's nugget yesterday on 810 that the two sides are "close").

Any way we can dump that piece of flaming AIDS shit known as Soria as well?

Probably not, unfortunately

Also probably not. Hoch might bring a small bounty, but the way Esky has been playing we might not be able to get Angel Berroa for him.

For real? That'd be something. I've always been optimistic DM would be aggressive about it, I'd be surprised Boras would let that happen so soon though. At least Dayton would be buying low. It'd make sense though because Hos has clearly become the leader of this team. It'd create some security for the team, and other free agents we might want to sign.

We've been speculation on that for weeks on here. Dump Soria and we might be able to extend Moose.

Resume your silly talk about how losing Finnegan and Lamb are costing us wins.....

Yes, he is way over paid. That is why Moore is trying to dump him.

Kennedy is awful with this juiced up ball.

I wish. No way anyone takes on those contracts.

The big market teams can afford to throw money away like that.

That would be horrible if they sign him for 100M+. I can't decide who is the most overrated player in the AL, Eric Hosmer or Alcides Escobar?

Hosmer's true value is probably 5/65, but of course he will get paid more. Anybody can play 1st base, and he's been horrible defensively anyway this year at it. The guys OPS is under .800 the last 4 years. He's never been 3.5 WAR. Don't pay it Dayton, don't do it.

9.6 WAR in his 6 year career. Jarrod Dyson has 10.2 in his last 6 years.
