This idea is likely dead. It will be even more so if they draft a WR tonight.

I think so too. If it were ever gonna happen, it woulda happened before the draft.

It would have happened last night for sure. Unless the Cardinals are willing to drop their asking price and accept a later round pick, then he’s likely not getting traded. Once we pick tonight, it will be more than dead because that takes 2nd off the table too.

Cards stand to save much more cap if traded after june 1st so maybe a camp trade once some teams wideout goes down.

Provided they haven’t already use them up, they can designate Hopkins at June 1 now. That’s probably not the holdup.

The Cards just ****ed this up on a bunch of different occasions. They're best bet is to try and get him to stay for another year and then move on from him after the season. If no one has cap space now...then no one is going to have it miraculously after June 1st.

It's the money. No one has the cap for it, if they were gonna trade him it needed to be a while ago.
