Some were, sure. But you can't help the idiots. I haven't criticized Self for anything in a very long time. He's been running the best basketball program in the country for a decade.

Mizzou will have a good but prob not great run and Kansas will lose to a Missouri Valley team.

Or maybe not. Lets just keep playing basketball. JFC.

Look, CP aren't the only ones arguing.

It's an idiotic POV to act like recruiting doesn't matter for awards like these when half of building a successful program comes from that end of the game. It all adds up.

I don't think he deserves COY over Hoiberg, but I don't see how it's unreasonable to mention his name.

The hyperbole is entertaining though... whiny bunch today.

Where's the hyperbole?

Does KU not have 6 four-star or better recruits on their squad? Did most of those kids not have at least a year of significant playing time for a major D-1 school (a #1 seed last season, if I'm not mistaken)?

It's not unreasonable to mention his name - it's the fact that dipshits like Wickedson are going the opposite route that has me annoyed. This isn't a rag-tag group of misfits that Self is coaching - there is an insane amount of talent on that squad and more experience than KU fans are wanting to concede.

He's going to win NCOTY. I might be in the minority, but I'm glad he didn't win the conference award. It shows that the league is obsessed with our promotion, and that gives me a chuckle.

Dr. Tajudeen Soyoye needs to Mizzou this thread up.

Watch out for 'B'righam Young, 'B'elmont, 'B'ucknell, and 'B'aylor!!!!

I suspect the majority of MU fans will turn on Haith far sooner than the majority of KU fans turn on Self (though it's very hard to envision a scenario right now where that could actually occur at KU). MU, after all, is likely to fade back into mediocrity at some point.

What a bunch of dolts. This is where Missouri was before Haith came along. Nobody knew what the **** was going on.

Of course it adds up. He didn't recruit those players THIS YEAR, though. It's an annual award. If you want to include his 2012 recruits when factoring everything in, fine.

LMAO at the petty Big Leftovers.

I did say that complaining about B12 officiating did Haith no favors in that vote. He clearly deserved at least a share.

KU fans should never turn on Self. He should pretty much have a lifetime pass given the success that he has had. Still....if KU is a high seed and they fail to make the final four, you will hear rumblings from some of the KU faithful.

Ha, Kansas fans are the biggest group of self loathing pricks I have ever seen. Nobody has taken so little joy out of so much success.

It is like watching Hamas Jenkins watch baseball.
