What a great game and series. I was not sure I would survive the tension late in that game and I was sitting at home. Can't imagine what it must have been like for the players.

My mom and I started following the Cubs when we moved to Chicago in 1968. I have moved on in many ways since then but it was the first sports team I followed so they are still close to my heart. I am still a bit emotional and the dust level in the house seems to be inordinately high today! Especially when I do things like listen to the Cubs radio call of the last out.

This is especially sweet because my mom has been declining some in health the last few years. I am so glad they got this done while she was still able to enjoy it!

How so? The parade? If yes, hellz-to-the-yeah, it worked-out well for my family last year too.

No one to **** with it.

I was moreso joking. I used to live off Southport, and it would have been a big deal, but now I live right on the divide of Old Town and Gold Coast, so a lot less a concern. Most of the noise died down around 2am.

The only thing I wondered was if Zobrist or Bryant would be MVP. I don't disagree with the decision; Zobrist had a hell of a series. But Bryant got things going with HRs in games 5 and 6 and his aggressive base running scored two runs last night. He also made some great plays at third.

Ah. I know my downtown spot was nice to have because it made having a place for our parade kind of nice (after they quit trying to tell us we couldn't be in the garage). The parade went right by, t'was awesome.

Wish I could be there.

Unfortunately by the time I could have got in the car and started driving to Chicago was the time it was starting.

Watching it on TV and its a damn shame they have broadcasters who don't know a ****ing thing about the Cubs.

Been listening to them talk about who's going to be gone this off-season and they keep bringing up Arrieta. He is going no where people. He's not eligible to be a FA til next year. Please shut up about him.
