Dude, go look at his cap hit in 2024 when he isn't on their team. It's $11 million.

It's the money. No one has the cap for it, if they were gonna trade him it needed to be a while ago.

Never know. It’s a wild offseason. Keep in mind rodgers was only traded last week and Lamar only signed this week. There are some mega contracts coming soon. Teams like the ravens and chargers may have to adapt to fit their new qb contracts in, they’ll let players go, other teams will scoop those guys up and their guys will move. And guys like Chris jones open up tons of leverage to create cap space.

Maybe the cards also don’t mind getting next years draft picks. Everything out of that org seems to suggest they don’t really like Kyler and they want to move on as soon as they can. If that’s the case next years picks aren’t a bad play

We can easily afford him. We’re just choosing not to for now which I get.

Explain how we're easily affording him this year. Next year...sure.

With everything that has happened the Chiefs are about the only option left for him.

THANKS FOR TALKING ABOUT THE ARIZONA CARDINALS!

Chris jones extension is the most logical. In this case we’re not doing any magic tricks. First year in the extension is always going to move salary to bonus.

If not, mahomes only took a partial restructure this year. He would gladly move the rest of it to bonus. It backloads mahomes contract but not very much. We can do that with any large contract really but this is the one that’s easiest.

You don’t want to get drunk doing this. But it’s plenty doable if you use it sparingly

I could be wrong but I don't think you can touch Mahomes' contract more than once. They already restructured it and that ship has sailed. Their only option is a Jones' extension but I don't forsee that magically falling into place during the draft.

Hopefully one of the other 31 franchises trades for this POS soon.

You dead enders are unbearable.

YEs and thats probably why we heard that the Cards could just release him.

Problem is you can only use that early June 1st as a CUT not as a trade. So if they want to hold out for any kind of return they can just hold off until after June 1st, trade him for whatever and make out better than just cutting him now.

Trading him after June 1st is actually much better for them vs trading him now. Thats probably why they could still be asking for more in return.

This idea is likely dead. It will be even more so if they draft a WR tonight.

At some point, you have to grow your own, not pay market price for other teams ' stars. It's not comfortable, but it's necessary, and is where KC is at right now.

Growing your own is fine - but the entire WR room at once while a SB window is open?

Right now you're looking at Toney - assuming he can stay healthy - and a WHOLE LOT of question marks.

Or, if you want to be a pessimist, you can assume Toney won't be able to stay healthy (he hasn't once in his career) and you have NOTHING but question marks.

They need some sort of a presence besides Kelce - MVS ain't it.

Seth said it best.

The ceiling is crazy high...but that floor. Woof. That floor is pretty ****ing low.

Seth Keysor doesn't know anything. He admitted as much by saying he has not watched any tape on thid kid prior to last night. He is awful.

KCSN had Felix ranked 27th overall in their draft guide. I trust the opinion of Craig Stout a whole of a lot more as far as defensive line is concerned. That's his expertise.
