Best case scenario.

Orton shows that this offense isn't ****ing reeruned. Pioli and Haley realize that Cassel is garbage and he's let go this offseason. Pioli then drafts our QBoTF in the 1st round of the draft. Orton is signed to a 2-3 year deal. Orton and rookie QB compete in TC and preseason to the be the starter.

Orton is horribly unathletic, but he has a stronger arm than Cassel and better accuracy.

Orton is basically a poor man's Trent Green. Cassel just sucks.

I tend to agree, but the move won't shield him from the consequences of:
1. Poor clock management
2. A jumbled playcalling system
3. Mishandling the off-season
