Didn't Clark specifically claim that he wanted to draft a franchise QB? I remember him saying that on an 810 interview shortly after he took control of the team.

Alright. Heres my prediction.

Pioli has figured out the deal, lets Cassel walk, brings back Orton, Drafts RGIII, and goes True Fan the rest of the way out.

We win the division/ a WC spot next year and win a playoff game.

Has it occurred to no one that this season is lost, and that the Chiefs now have a fairly good opportunity to draft a top 10 qb? I think that occurred to Haley/Pioli.

Relax true fans.

Excuse me, Mr. the_spatula, but your unwarranted logic and common sense is interfering with our group freak out like a bunch of old ladies here, if you don't mind.

This.

Surely Clark realizes how much money he could make from drafting a rookie qb and flashing him to all the fans.

I want my franchise QB now and I think waiting 30 years is abusive.

He starts Palko, we lose, we draft RGIII or Barkley, = WE WIN.

He did. But it was just a lie. Just another blatant lie in a long and endless string of blatant lies that are an endless and long and repetitive string of blatant lies.

Truth is, no matter how much some of us want to defend some of the moves these guys have made as somewhat logical...there are a few that are soooo bad that they overshadow the positives and put the evaluation ability of them under a microscope and almost forces us to be extremely critical of their other moves.

Its puzzling, for sure.

In the draft, they identified much of the falling talent and chose them. Houston, Powe, Stanzi, Baldwin and Bailey were all great values where they were taken.

Most of the 2010 class (thats not on ir) is still making solid contributions, as well. Think of this team with Moeaki and Berry.

But, then you have Tyson Jackson at 3

Giving Matt Cassel a 63 million dollar contract with 28 million guaranteed.

Which one is it?

I sure would LOVE to see them draft a first round quarterback, though.

Exactly, a major crowd pleasure. Especially after all those years of NOT having one to idolize.

We can dismiss the idea of deception so there must another explanation.

I think you just found the Chiefs next PR campaign. Starring Kyle Orton and our newly drafted franchise left tackle.
